ShareX and Foobar2000

Both of these have superior alternatives that are multiplatform.

PotPlayer
Free download manager

probably the only thing keeping me from jumping ship other than gaymes (even then, proton is making headway)
I can get super autistic levels of automation with sharex easily with its braindead interface.

Foobar 2000 is available in the ubuntu store as a snap.
It's unrelated but kind of interesting.

spbp

nowhere as good as Paint.NET alas

doesn't have all the features that make foobar2000 great

MPC-HC
SubtitleEdit (Nikse)

Xrecode, it runs perfectly on WINE though

It's primitive.
Sure, it's fast and small, but that won't help you if it won't do the things you want.

There's KolourPaint which is pretty much identical.

Cygwin. Are you a retard?

I'll bite: what's wrong with Cygwin?

KolourPaint is better

I don't understand what you're trying to >imply
Running POSIX on Windows is bad?

KSysGuard or just htop

Think of it the other way around: why would Cygwin exist elsewhere if Linux, BSD and MacOS are Unix-likes?
I'd compare it to running WINE on Windows, but it's actually possible to do that if you need to run ancient software.

paint.net
notepad++
foobar2000
madvr

this, winamp, and irfanView

would winamp be better than foobar in some circumstances

is this technically better than all the competition?

It whips the llama's ass, foobar doesn't.

Sublime is nonfree botnet
Atom/vscode are javascript electron bloat
Notepad++ is the best option on Windows.

At motion graphics, yeah. Usability, it's a close second behind SketchUp. If you need it for a specific task like sculpting, animation or particle simulation though, then there are more dedicated "hardcore" alternatives. It's a jack of all trades 3D suite similar to Blender, if Blender wasn't designed by fucking autists.

Only thing I wish this had was the ability to change dpi

only thing that I find really useful and doesn't have a proper linux alternative

It uses wine to run foobar on Linux

Why are all winamp fags like this?

Lol.

What's a good alternative for Linux? Unironically.
I always have a python terminal open, for using as a calculator, when on Linux.

Depending on what you use AHK for, it kinda does.

Gnome calculator. It's the best virtual calculator I've ever used. I wish I could have it on Windows.

(I'm not a mathematician though so I never do reeeeeeeally complex calculations. This calculator is very very comfy though)

minecraft windows 10 edition

who uses dialer anymore, at this point

This is all I have, really. I'm surprised you people know about paint.net.

Holy shit what a blast from the past. I just felt all kinds of emotions remembering using that thing on Windows XP. Microsoft loves to keep the weirdest crap around forever.

Is paint.net obscure or something?

Could you be more contrarian, faggot?

Why not just grab calc.exe and run it under Wine?

Because you can easily do the same thing without external software
