Although lines that long can be annoying, the ridiculously small amount of text in the second version and the lack of contrast makes it overall worse: harder to read, with more distractions, on 1440p.

You don't even need that much money. People are just too retarded about how they spend their money. Everyone is too caught up in the notion that they are a failure if they aren't dating and planning to create a family, so they insist on overly large houses that are just barely within their budget, and even then they live paycheck to paycheck. The real reason for rising cost of living is housing costs.

You can build a really luxurious 1 bedroom place for less than the cost of a new car. Using a 40 foot shipping container, you'd probably be looking at like $15-20k? Since it's so cheap you can splurge on other shit like solar panels, rainwater cistern, expensive furniture, customized room layouts, etc. Since your property is technically not worth much, your tax is dirt cheap. Since you have solar panels, your electricity costs are low. If you use captured rainwater for your shower/toilet/washing machine, your water bill will be low too.

Alternatively, you could basically do the same shit, only build it out of rammed earth; all you need is dirt, gravel, water, cement (or lime), some wooden forms, and a heavy flat bottomed object to pack the earth (or rent a pneumatic tamper). You can source the dirt right out of the fucking hole you dug for the foundation if it has the right sand/clay mix; if not, just add some of what it lacks. Absolutely dirt cheap, and even a complete moron could build most of the house himself if someone lays out the forms and does the planning for him. If it's good enough for the Great Wall of China, it's good enough for your house.

my last job i was on an two-digit month contract for legacy support for IBM AS400.
I was the only male in my subsection of the IT department. All my coworkers were female, and older than me, and mostly bitched about their husbands and kids the whole day. The only time people would collaborate / call others over to their desk was in regards to getting lunch.
I had to go to multiple sites in the organization with different staff, again, 95% female in the "IT department" though of course all the networking team and programmers were male, so, that's something.
Several of our staff flying to other states for training and such and basically treating it like a vacation (the men did this too, but the women were generally more gaudy about it, and spent hours discussing their trips upon their return and showing pictures of everything EXCEPT the event they were sent there to attend)
We had one site positioned literally right next to a very nice hotel, and tons of other contractors flying in. Inevitably, when you have over a hundred people coming and going every few months, I was eventually propositioned by two of the female ones, one of which was very, VERY direct (told me the exact dates she was going to be here, gave me her hotel room number, asked me incessantly to get dinner "and dessert" with her, her treat, etc.)
Most of the males were these early-mid 20s swinger types who would bang anyone at the company they could, and like I said, the women I worked with, they openly bitched about their husbands and kids (one of which had an ex-husband, and a different boyfriend, and openly cheated on him with people flying in from san diego and bragged about it around the office, etc)
i'm only a little bitter because one of the women who wanted me settled for this annoying douche who talked about nothing but crossfit all the time. he "showed her a workout" in her hotel room (she said it "really kicked her ass, she was so wiped out afterwards")

I work in a rather big logistics company in middle management and we use almost exclusively stuff which is set up on AS400. Doesn't matter if it's book, courses, PDFs or whatever, doesn't matter if free or behind a paywall, I just need some input.

It's so frustrating to not be able to find anyone who can do a decent job for adequate money (freelancers have waiting list up to year 2025) and I need to get some shit done by last year, so I'm desperate enough to try doing it by myself with a small team. (that's at least the situation in middle Europe, might be better elsewhere)
