Why are you not using mpv already?

interpolating the temporal axis is a must have

because I don't like blurry piece of shit

>because I don't like blurry piece of shit
Damn. This used to happen to me before, but I forgot what I did to fix it, so now I can't help you.

reinstall your video driver, windows update will break it for mpv sometimes

Because I'm using MPC-HC until it stops working.

Attached: 1525521563141.gif (450x254, 986K)

no midi support

because I hate meme players and there is a masterpiece called MadVr

Why should I use MPV over MPC?

No reason to if mpc isn't giving you any problems.
Only reason why I switch to using mpv (on windows) as my main player over mpc was, because mpc started to shit itself on me.

Give me a config that'll interpolate to 144hz and I'll consider it.

are you talking about this?
[code[
temporal-dither=no
interpolation
video-sync=display-resample
[/code]
or something else?

Because i use potplayer. Yeah i know it's gook botnet but i don't care, it suits my needs.

Can't believe you guys can watch anime without feeling a tad bit of shame.

Just letting you know, we still you weebs should die.

>bunny girl senpai

shit taste

he says on the site founded to talk about anime

>he thinks we actually watch anime

haha

>because I hate meme players and there is a meme called MadVr
typical Jow Forumsretard
mpv > MadVr btw

>where's my NGU - Anti alias without plugins ???
>Where's my anti compression effects ?
>where's my INTEL QSYNC??
???????????????????

I don't watch anime so I don't see the point of all the video render autism

Indeed, real men watch Irozuku this season

Attached: 1541794590594.png (1280x720, 541K)

>NGU - Anti alias
>anti compression
What shit hole are you from that you need anti-aliasing and anti compression in a video player?

>INTEL QSYNC
Another API that does the same as d3d11va / vaapi.

not OP but yes he was probably talking about that since it's what he uses in his screenshot

personnally i use this but it's not very smooth on my VA monitor (on my IPS laptop panels it's pretty good)
interpolation
video-sync=display-resample
tscale=oversample
otherwise i'm intressed about temporal-dither is it really enable by default, and why did you disable it ?

Because software by weebs for weebs is not something I trust.

real man watch JoJo you bitch

mpv BTFO madvr AGAIN! Now with sphinx tscale. How can madvr even compete??!

what is this new shit ?

New perfect interpolation scaler by based haasn.

source please i'm interested

because mpc+madvr worked and still working flawlessly, i don't see any benefit from switching to MPV and in case ill do so i have to learn a lot of things about configs, thats not what i want to do

Last post in an issue 2685 on github mpv.

but I am

Attached: mpv-shot0001.jpg (1920x1080, 804K)

thanks user it's way better than oversample (still need tweaks)
video-sync=display-resample
interpolation=yes
tscale=box
tscale-window=sphinx
tscale-radius=1.0
tscale-clamp=0.0

too high iq for mpv tbqhonestly family

Becouse I don't like using shit. Call me when it can handle HEVC like VLC does.

>Can't believe you guys can watch anime without feeling a tad bit of shame.

I wouldn't go that far but I just don't get the appeal. I have seen a number of full-length films and they were all good but anime series... I just don't get it and and I don't get how so many adult people are into it.

Meh, of course. Anime is just a medium of entertainment.

I like some Japanese anime films, and I acknowledged there are some good series out there.

Monster is one of them.

because is different, people who like anime most of the time grown up watching anime.
i think is like older parents who don't get video games.

>until it stops working
Some doom9 guy continues the development. It's unofficial and he's not interested in introducing new features, but at least he keeps everything up-to-date.

>that banding
I'll stick to madv, thanks

i feel like she smells

Founded by a 15 year old for kids at his age. Now he's gone and /a/ is not even on the top 3 of boards with most traffic.

mpv's debanding is better tho.

Someone share the screenshot part of their config. Trying to not show subtitles in screenshots, rather focus on the art.

what can I do to make streaming off ftp less of a pain? I cannot seem to seek all the way back and forth throughout videos, only allowing me to watch and pause. (The FTP is my own local so I dont really care about using the servers resources)

mpv.conf
# Screenshots
screenshot-format=jpg
screenshot-jpeg-quality=100
screenshot-png-compression=0
screenshot-png-filter=0
screenshot-tag-colorspace=yes
screenshot-template="%F - [%P]"

input.conf
# Screenshot
a cycle-values screenshot-format png jpg
A cycle-values screenshot-template "%F - [%P]" "vlcsnap-%tY-%tm-%td-%tHh%tMm%tSs%wT%03n"
s async screenshot
S async screenshot video
Ctrl+s screenshot window
Alt+s screenshot each-frame

>A cycle-values screenshot-template "%F - [%P]" "vlcsnap-%tY-%tm-%td-%tHh%tMm%tSs%wT%03n"
great stuff
Cheers works perfectly

It has always been able to since ffmpeg implemented it...

Attached: Berserk[2016].-.01.-.[1080p.BD.HEVC.x265].[10bit].[FLAC].[Jd].[DHD].[ea45ef88].jpg (3840x2160, 2.2M)

Yet the site is owned by an actual Jap now. This is a weeb site, deal with it.

>handle HEVC like VLC does
stuttery and artifacts everywhere?
I don't think mpv can do that

Post your deband options, please.

The bulk of anime is shit because it's made to pander to Otaku. Otaku is also probably the largest viewer base of anime meaning most of the top rated and most popular anime will be shit too

could changing the cache be enough? or is there a way to disable it so I can seek to any part of the video outside of the little white line

I find this work great for anime

interpolation=yes
video-sync=display-resample
tscale=catmull_rom

Weird, when streaming on my LAN I can seek anywhere in the video. I don't think my cache settings matter but I use # Streams
ytdl=yes
hls-bitrate=max
ytdl-format=bestvideo[height

Attached: 2018-11-10 09-55-54.webm (1280x720, 2.37M)

>60hz
overclock your monitor you dumbo

thought it was standard, changing my config still wont let me seek outside of the cache.

You guys are autistic I just use mpv to watch anime/movies and make webms. I could give a rats ass about whatever you're talking about.

Attached: brainlet29.png (543x443, 24K)

>he doesn't watch jojo, bunny girl, and Irozuku
Fucking plebs.

based 144hz masterrace

>banding
where?

Nigga, mpv plays anything ffmpeg plays so it will always be on top of whatever the hot new format is.

>A cycle-values screenshot-template "%F - [%P]" "vlcsnap-%tY-%tm-%td-%tHh%tMm%tSs%wT%03n"

Attached: 1360030561496.jpg (414x419, 34K)

>make webms
mpv can make webm???

Yes.

I'm not using mpv because MPC-HC continues to work perfectly while providing excellent image quality. Why would I bother switching to a new player and reconfiguring from scratch when at best I'd get an equivalent viewing experience?

Because you can stop using windows and switch to a real OS.

how do you make video data like that appear on windows version of mpv?

Press i.

shift+i

explain, how to make a clip?

>github.com/mpv-player/mpv/pull/6158
Is it finally happening?

Attached: haasn saving mpv again.png (933x671, 93K)

false flag is the best flag

I'm using Linux on my work machine and my server, sadly I still find desktop Linux to be far too unpolished for use on a machine which plays videos and runs games regularly, not to mention that game compatibility is still far behind Windows in general even with Valve's latest efforts. It's surreal that we're nearing the end of 2018 and most distros still suffer from tearing out of the box.

Yeah okay bud. Use wayland by the way.

Where is basic https authentication
Yikes, looks like vlc wins again

What? ffmpeg has openssl support.

Is it possible to watch anime in 1440p without massive issues?

What kind of issues are we talking about? I don't see how a monitor resolution could bring issues other than hardware being too weak to upscale.

I miss wm4...

youtube-dl handles authentication

pastebin.com/raw/LkDDm3fM

Perfect resolution for 720p anime. Just use RAVU or FSRCNNX.

Best config for intel hd 4000? It's a thinkpad x230.

thanks f.a.m.

Because Kodi doesn't use it

Would also be interested in this. Too much config fuckery and my animu turns into a slideshow

profile=gpu-hq

scale=spline36
cscale=bicubic_fast
dscale=catmull_rom
dither-depth=auto
correct-downscaling=yes
deband=no

Isnt deband disabled by default?

Maybe.

no config at all
yes

what's better, spline64 or ewa_lanczossharp?

haasnsoft

all interpolation looks like absolute shit to me

see

t. fell for a meme

But ewa_lanczossharp is a meme.

haasnsoft is great though.
