Tell me what is better: I think I have the hardware to host a little website but I don't know about this server side shit.
I am in America, and I am not sure if this is a good idea at all. Website would be to publish articles and such critical of the regime, economy, etc and would also have links to things like Signal and simple ways to work around their censorship, then more in depth on how to conduct protests while staying anonymously using the HK model, after we saw how SIsi dealt with Egypt. Nothing too indepth as it is public.
Would 250Mb/s internet with thinkpad workstation be enough? xeon cpu, discrete gpu. maxed ram (i didn't get the ECC my bad), and 4TB+ storage connected by ethernet and has it's own powersupply in case power goes out or whatever.
Would they be safe using PGP and temporary email or Protonmail to email me? Would using Google's or Cloudflare's be enough, I know that got around the Twitter ban in Turkey.
The best I can tell them to do is use end to end encryption, signal or whatsapp, and use PGP and AES-255 or SHA-256.
Few use computers, just phones, so I don't know much how to help them, but I know how to help them organize and conduct protests, though, just now how to access my site if blocked.
Is there a thing like dynamic DNS to avoid heir censorship on my end? They can use a VPN, or can they use a SOCKS5 tunnel to connect directly to it as though I am the VPN?
What can I do on my end to avoid their censorship (and try not to be identified) and conversely the same from America, whom they may hate the regime, I do not trust American intelligence.
Would using a cloud service be easier/better? I only know of Clodflare, Amazon, and Google's.
LAMP, though I wanted to use OpenBSD not sure how it integrates. Apache because I don't know any other MariaDB I think. And Python because PHP is a dirty dirty lang. MEAN seems to be a headache and unnecessary though that'd be easier for me to do.
OpenVPN, OpenSSH, OpenDNS/DNScrypt/DOT/DOH
