Future of tech

What are you thoughts on the prediction that by the year 2050 neurolink and VR tech will be so advanced we will use it to do everything from shopping to education, there would be virtual universities etc. The neurolink tech would be advanced to the point it can mimic the electrical impulses of specific pain and even the ones that make your heart beat.

In 2050 we'll be in the middle of climate wars. By this time I will either be eaten alive by the pressing African hordes or a slave to the Elysium style Bezos empire set up in the orbit space station.

Oh okay there's also China, but this could go both ways. Either they collapse due to unsustainable economic growth in which case options 1 & 2 above still hold OR they will devour the whole world in which case I will get lobotomised and turned into a chinkbot.

There's also option 4, where I manage to run from Europe to USA, now walled off the whole world and turned into a post-apocalyptic libertarian wasteland. In this case I would survive maybe for a few months in this Mad Max style scenario.

I want to imagine this is going to be the normie reaction, but I feel like we know from experience that that isn't true.
