thats my opinion as well.
I like vim for markup+text+config but seems like a hassle vs emacs/vscode. I don't code though so I haven't had experience with the latter, just feel like separation is a good thing with these programs.

The more I use Vim, the fewer plugins I use. For example I used autocomplete plugins until I found out you can just type ctrl+n while typing a word.

Vim is so powerfull, it's amazing. Tabs, splitscreens, macros, auto-indention, using marks, interacting with the shell..

And the best part is that it's logical. Its a meta language for text editing and each word of this language can be exchanged.

But the best part is that its installed everywhere.

You should use ed instead. Ed is the editor that doesn't waste my VALUABLE time.

Vi is just ed in visual mode

Try this:
>Open the command line with :
>Press
>You are now in normal mode on the command line
>Press enter to execute a command after optionally editing it

You can do this when you're searching as well. You can even search your search or command history. You can even enter command mode again.
