is that a part of about:networking or do have botnet?

I've know for ages, I just want to know to what I'm looking at.

user_pref("network.captive-portal-service.enabled", false);

>not using Firefox Focus

>using a chrome wrapper

>facebook
>Jow Forums
so the tabs I have open then. Why don't people use waterfox more again? It's firefox, but without furries and without faggotry

what do you mean?

github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android

Well, that didn’t work

Try this
- Refresh the page
- Retype the web address
- Report this issue

Privacy statement

>he didn't read the code
>he doesn't know about webview

explain

>that didn’t work
why not? you have it disabled somehow?

Attached: fx.png (3502x745, 83K)

>have this is user.js
>deleted all cookies
>about:config still shows a bunch of sites

can't escape the botnet even if I try

>how do I edit hosts file?

I'm still using the sites, but I don't understand the point of the line in the user.js if it doesn't change a thing in firefox

You're doing something wrong. All I've done is disabled basic shit in about:config

Why did I do this, user?

Attached: Screenshot from 2018-11-13 20-25-55.png (1920x1080, 186K)

my about:config page literally says that the network.captive-portal-service.enabled is false

followed this guide
spyware.neocities.org/guides/firefox.html
and it still looks about the same as

no pocket tho

I see...

wat

Attached: Screenshot_20181114_132831.png (1920x1080, 111K)

Tried a bunch of "privacy scripts and none of them work for shit. This is fucking ridiculous

>FACEBOOK
I haven't used Facebook in years, I never realized those little share buttons are CIA niggers

Attached: Mr_Swirl.jpg (203x152, 16K)

I think it didn't go well

Attached: d.png (1600x870, 357K)

fuck it, I give up. No matter how many settings I put, firefox still looks up my ass. GNU Icecatv it is. What distro should I use? I was thinking arch or debian

I only have this site and google, so I guess I am good. There is nothing else because I visited nothing else today and don't have javascript. Also I deleted everything that starts with http in about:config too.

literally nothing abnormal

holy shit user what did you do, you might as well be naked

>what is visiting other sites

all i start with are the domains a bunch of ublock filter lists come from, is that good?

Yo wtf

Attached: 11.png (1409x527, 18K)

>detectportal
>ocsp.digicert
>push.services
Nothing else

Webview is basically chrome without a UI. Browsers like focus, lightning, privacy browser, naked browser, etc. just provide the UI for webview. Mozilla started a geckoview project for Focus but I don't know if it's integrated yet.

In about config you can disable
"dom.push.enabled" to remove push services. But those exist for notifications so if you want those you shouldn't disable this unless you're making your own push server.

still better than Chrome's Software Reporter Tool

Every time I go on a new site, more stuff shows up at the networking. How do I escape botnet?

No because I'm not a brainlet who uses FireFox

>He uses chrome

“detectportal.firefox.com” is a domain firefox requests on launch, its only purpose is to detect if the network is being limited. If you block or intercept and change the data, firefox will think you need to login to a network.

Icecat is a good choice if you want privacy and security over actual usage, if you want freedoms go with Waterfox

Same. And yes, they are, you didn't know? Stallman has been saying for years, those little share buttons track you around the web, even if you don't have a facebook account.

Well

Attached: Screenshot_20181114-192313.png (720x1440, 217K)

ESR + ghacks-user.js + mozilla/policy-templates + uMatrix/uBlock + Pi-hole
= no connections

>This is very experimental. Do not use without adult supervision.

This is very experimental. Do not use without adult supervision.

I shut it down, delete temp files, used DBAN, burned the precious HD on a hot fire [6000K] and dumped the dust onto my neighbour's mail
.

a browsing baed on noscript by hackademix aka maone will block the CLICKJACKING

strip away any single URL in about:config

Why would I want literally all my browser data sent to an advertising company?

github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/blob/master/docs/Telemetry.md

Attached: IMG_20181114_184430.jpg (1080x1471, 266K)

erase the values that start with https? or every .url?

panic

Attached: 1523931119369.png (759x441, 12K)

Should it only matter if it is active or not? If you have browsed a lot of sites, there would obviously be a lot of hostnames.

results

Alright enough messing around, how do I get it to show nothing or a few things?

github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js

Less so than any other major browser though

>For clients that have "send anonymous usage data" enabled Focus sends a "core" ping and an "event" ping to Mozilla's telemetry service. Sending telemetry can be disabled in the app's settings. Builds of "Focus for Android" have telemetry enabled by default ("opt-out") while builds of "Klar for Android" have telemetry disabled by default.
Maybe turn it off?

Damnit, I always avoided this because it seemed excessive but I guess I need to dive into this shit. Do you use this? Does it help with about:networking?

firefox is a botnet
firefox is bloat

What browser do you use

If you really want to control Firefox and escape the botnet:
github.com/pyllyukko/user.js/

If you are going to use it make sure you read the wiki github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js/wiki and also check the 0400 section of user.js file

So what browser do you use?
Oprah??

>.js
>firefox
FUCK FIREFOX
FUCK JAVASCRIPT

Go use Dillo, then.

Attached: file.png (751x592, 447K)

Why the user.js? Even FF in my cellphone is clean with nothing but basic about:config in place

Attached: Screenshot_20181114-214518.png (1080x1920, 80K)

What browser do you use then McVeigh

>using nu-fox

what u use

Brainlet here; what’s going on in this thread? Is something happening with Firefox?

FIREFOX IS A JEW BOTNET

fucking kek

lol this sohuldnt have made me laugh as much as it did

But mine has hundreds of entries, most of which are super embarrassing

don't be a pussy
post it

Attached: quote-be-not-afraid-of-anything-you-will-do-marvelous-work-the-moment-you-fear-you-are-nobody-swami- (850x400, 66K)

I'd have to scroll and take 4 or 5 screenshots to stitch them together, also posting it might derail the thread.

What does this even fucking mean? Please send help my list is very long.

What do I need to change in settings to unfuck this?

In about:config, change network.captive-portal-service.enabled to disabled

In laymann's what does this do?

>network.captive-portal-service.enabled
It disables the captive portal service :^)

>askjeeves botnet

>using http Jow Forums instead of https
get the FUCK off Jow Forums you stupid piece of shit.

It's fucking nothing. All of these entries are from when you hit accept on EULA or cookie management policies or whatever the fuck from random websites you stop at.

Oh wow they know I visited their site and saw their EULA disclaimer oh no. Fuck off.

This thread was just about posting results, I lack understanding why you anger over nothing.

People are acting like this is serious botnet shit but it isn't.

it is serious botnet shit
don't sugarcoat it, let the newfags know

Did you even read the thread you absolute semen gargler? The people freaking out about have detectportal.firefox.com in theirs.

>detectportal.firefox.com
And it's fucking nothing, retard.

I followed it too, but in my case it cleaned up most of the entries.
Now I only have stuff from Discord, Jow Forums and DeviantArt, although I don't have DA opened in any of my tabs.
