Docky is bad, Plank is really limited, Cairo might be your best bet but it takes time to configure it. I don't know other docks that are better than those.

I personally find the Deepin dock extremely effective and practical, but not many are willing to try it because of it being from Deepin.

I think Deepin is a good DE personally. Very pretty and polished aside from being a little buggy when I tried it.

Yeah. Polished as in the apps are well integrated and the theme is consistent. Buggy as in it is not always responsive (dead buttons). I tried it on Arch.

You didn't create a 1080p black png then, and most likely the image will have been stored in your RAM as a bitmap.
