Should I still encrypt my home desktop PC even though I never turn it off/log off?

Should I still encrypt my home desktop PC even though I never turn it off/log off?

Why not just use bitlocker you kiddy fiddler?

>muh security encryption is valuable
unless you're some pedo that or a fucked up midget porn lover that try to hide his porn on his computer, you dont need to encrypt shit. That's just your paranoia kicking in thinking youll get caught and go to jail.

Why would you need encryption? Are you hiding something?

just some bestiality porn(guys fucking mares)

midget porn is illegal now? wtf

if you need encryption just use a veracrypt container

Do you lock your door at night, user?

Fuck right off, you fucking queer, right back to facebook you go.

Not an argument.

Encrypt just the porn HDD.

Certainly bait but obligatory

>the state of Jow Forums
what's happened to this place?

>Defending paedos

This place is the same.

I'm not defending pedos, idiot. Encryption serves other purposes. Using https? Are you a pedo? No, didn't think so, but by your own accusation, I guess you are.

Based pedo

seek help you degenerate and stay away from my kids

I always encrypt my data before uploading to "the cloud". If I had a laptop then I would encrypt the drive incase it was stolen. My home desktop PC? I don't.

Someone could break into my house and steal my PC. For that reason I should encrypt it. But I won't. I don't see a problem if other people do it.

You're comparing veracrypting your entire ntfs partition to tls.

One of these things only paedos do

>CIA makes using encryption pedo-based
Just like only "conspiracy theorists", a term invented by the CIA, is used to make people look crazy for questioning shit. Fuck off, CIA niggers.

>winshit
>secure
use GNU/Linux (GuixSD it's the best) and encrypt it with LUKS

Not an argument, pedo.

>move you mouse as randomly as possible within this window
Someone explain this

Hello flat-earther

pseudo-rng used for a seed value.

Neither is your statement, which YOU should be defending via argument.
>encryption is for pedos
That's not an argument; it makes you look retarded.

You unironically don't need encryption unless you've got something to hide.

dafuq

t. seething pedo

>encrypting on windows

Since you don't have anything to hide, give me your address, social security number, birth date, and credit card numbers.

Not even worth arguing with that retard.

Pedophile detected.

Encrypting algorithm needs some random value to work but since computer is just an mathematical machine nothing happens accidentaly in it, so it can only generate pseudorandom numbers. Because of that you could crack the encryption just by knowing the date and proximate time when it was done. Thus you provide additional randomization by swinging your mouse.

drawbacks of encryption:
>may bottleneck faster nvme SSDs
>one more password to remember

benefits of encryption:
>your data is protected in case of a break-in
>you can make all the data practically unrecoverable by simply overwriting the encrypted volume header a few times - no need to do time consuming full disk overwrites before selling/throwing out the drive

Doesn't bitlocker upload your password to some MS cloud by default?

When did this place become a pedo board?

If GRU knocks on your door, unplug your pc before opening the door and you're safe.
That said, I found veracrypt buggy, 1 hdd started blinking (usage) even though nothing was using it and veracrypt just kept ramping on cpu because of that, so i'm building a nas now and will use whatever linux is using for encryption luks, dm-crypt or wtv

About one and half a decade ago.

Why do you keep arguing with him? He's obviously not sincere and is likely from /b/.

Install a webcam in your bathroom then

so every goverment agency in the world is also full of pedos cause they encrypt stuff too?
fucking retards

never talk about /b/
