Yfw you can go walk up on anyone's computer with chrome on it

>yfw you can go walk up on anyone's computer with chrome on it
>go to chrome://settings/passwords
>click on the little eye icon and see all their passwords for every account in straight up PLAIN TEXT

If someone has physical access to your computer, they can steal anything anyway.
Why bother?

It asks for your PC's password to do that

Firefox doesn't have this vulnerability, chrometard.

>saving your passwords anywhere but in your head
Lol, brainlet. My browser clears history, cookies, and logins when I close it.

I did this with my ex-gf's laptop.

Turns out most websites (Google, Facebook, Steam, Instagram, iCloud, Dropbox, etc.) will ask for an email activation if and send an alert to the other person's phone if they detect you're login in from a different computer than usual.
>but user, you had her email password
Everything she had used a Google or Microsoft account. So back to the other paragraph.

This isn't so useful right now. In 2013 it would've meant you got control over a person's Internet acconts, but not anymore.

At least I vandalized her Fanfiction.net, Fimfiction and DeviantART accounts. So that's something.

this

>not automatically wiping your entire computer when you restart
Fucking casuals

no?

Update and stop running as root/administrator.

Yes it does. Unless you add a master password all passwords can be read in cleartext. Or better yet, exported as a handy .xlx file using FF Pasword Exporter.

yes they do.

doesn't chrome ask for your pc password to reveal the pw's?

Weird mine asks for a password before I'm able to view the other passwords.

it asks for password. /thread

im on xubuntu, i dont have to enter a password to view them. i think i would need to log off to lock it

Yes. OP is a faggot

>not buying a new computer every day
Poorfags

>not using tinfoil hat linux
Burner PCs when?

I used to do this on the school computers to see if anyone saved their passwords

I know, just like in Firefox.

I don't have a DE keyring since i don't use gnome or kde, sway doesn't get in your way with shit like that

Anything kinky turned out?

Sadly, no. I knew she had a bunch of nudes on her iCloud account (more than I have at least) but there was no way to log in without her phone.
She did follow some porn Harry Potter and mlp fanfics, but I already knew that.

>implying some dumb roastie would notice that you logged into her email and got her icloud nudes while she was asleep

Yo it asks for my password I guess you need to enable higher UAC

You can't log into Google or Microsoft accounts from a different computer without a phone. Trust me, I tried.
So unless you manage to steal cookies (useless in 2018) or a the victim's phone, you can't do shit.

>yfw you can walk up to anyone's computer and view all of their files
>yfw you can walk into anyone's house and take all of their stuff
If it's unlocked, they probably deserve it

>sway doesn't get in your way with shit like that
Maybe it should

Who actually uses a password on their home PC?

or if you always use private mode

>If it's unlocked, they probably deserve it

What kind of retarded logic is that?

That's like saying women deserve to be raped if they sun-bathe topless at the beach.

You don't have to always use private mode. When you login to a website, it asks if you want the password to be saved. You can hit "Never save password for this website" and that will do the trick.

Just buy a muckbook, moneylets

It's really not. Also I didn't mean that about not locking your house, just your computer

Hopefully most

*blocks your path*

autofill passwords is inherently vulnerable

All autofilled password fields are input in plaintext, you can go to any website in which the field is autofilled by any browser and see the password just by inspecting the field

basically everyone nowadays. or windows hello.

>go to any password storage on any browser
>see listed websites
>go to website and log out
>password will autofill, select field and remove type="password"
>the ******* changes to readable plaintext

if you save passwords you are an npc

Why would you use your browser to store passwords, Alejandro?

>save password?
fuck no
i can remember every password for all sites that require them thank you
give it a few years though and then my brain will start going to shit and ill have to write them down and hide them somewhere and that point the only ones i will have to remember is email and bank pin

i remember seeing my dad open his wallet with cards in and it had a post it note inside with his card PINs attached
i gave him so much shit

Ah yes, I'm sure you have 120+ completely unique and randomly created passwords all stored in your head. What a genius you are.

Only if they retardedly use a browser to save the passwords. Firefox, chrome, ie, ftp clients, etc. also store it on the harddrive in plaintext.

It's stored in the %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in key4.db and logins.json in plaintext, use a password manager like keepass (open source) or lastpass (hacked multiple times)

Just goto C:\Users\$username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default and copy the Login Data file

yep this is true
loads of people
yep it does, only if you login with your google account though

BUT THERE IS A WAY AROUND IT.
simply go to the website, have it auto fill in the account & pass for you. press F12 to open dev panel, highlight over the password field and look at the value="" in the input field
it'll show the pass in plain text
THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WAY TO GET AROUND THIS IN ANY PASSWORD MANAGER AT ALL, THEY DON'T INJECT THE PASSWORD, THEY FILL IN THE FIELD LOL
fucking pathetic. honestly.

see

>Firefox doesn't have this vulnerability
yes it does
are you retarded

not so fast friend

Attached: file.png (868x649, 43K)

not a problem on windows

Attached: Screenshot (107).png (1366x768, 113K)

They do deserve it, those sluts were begging to be raped

nope, poped up and asked me for my windows password

Balázs menj aludni má geci

They don't deserve it, but it isn't surprising when it happens. Yah if a 19yo bombshell walks through the hood wearing nothing but a sight skimpy dress she gunna get it, nobody is surprised, but she doesn't deserve it.

Same with PC security. If you trust every popup and don't use strong passwords you're definitely going to be compromised, but that doesn't mean you deserve it, but I won't be surprised when you get your identity stolen.

No with ubuntu :(

Hopefully everyone who store passwords on browsers

Except it stores saved shit in literal plaintext

>signing into Chrome(TM)
>leaving you account signed in on Chrome(TM)
>storing your passwords in Chrome(TM)
ISHYGDDT

>letting other people use your computer

yeah no

>not storing your passwords using a real secure password manager like keepass
BASED RETARD

I would do this if I had separate file storage desu

I checked the logins.json file and the passwords were encrypted.

keepass is glow in the dark botnet

>open source
>botnet
I bet you think systemd is NSA botnet

That's a lie. I did it without my phone a few days ago, it just sent a message to my phone but did not require me do anything extra.

and you're a glow in the dark retard

Systemd is an extremely large and overly complicated attack surface written in a language designed to make security vulnerabilities. You're delusional if you think the NSA doesn't have a million exploits for it.

>paying to download videos over bittorrent

Doesn't work on my machine. Asks for root password for some reason.

Being a bloated buggy piece of shit doesn't mean botnet though. Botnet means intentional backdoors.

botnet is a meme, they don't mean literal botnet
