I have a single column with rows of names in a spreadsheet. I want to find out the occurrence of each name in the column for all entries in the column and print them out else where on the sheet. I tried pivot tables but it didnt return any data on the occurrences of them, just the names. Is there another way to display the data? Using libreoffice

Reposting since no one replied back in last thread Pls help Been having a shit ton of crashes on my computer any time I run games. They've also happened for seemingly no reason before, but those are rare. APU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g GFX: Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb Memory: 8 GB MOBO: MSI B350m PRO-VDH Both are fully updated, but I have tried running them both with older drivers before to try and fix the issue. I've tried runig the computer with only the APU but I have crashes even then Dump files: drive.google.com/drive/folders/12MvjhGcd0Unt_R6gpxLKF_k6u-5W4r53?usp=sharing
Alternative email (outlook) somehow got email bombed. 1k junk emails every hour. How the shit do you stop this.

Any downside to using the developer version of firefox over the original? Switched over mainly so I can use unsigned extensions since the auto-signing thing in chrome store foxified don't work anymore

Might want to try reseating your GPU/RAM. I had issues with intermittent crashes that were caused by my GPU just being ever so slightly misaligned in the socket once. Took me a long time to realize it since it didn't actually crash all that often

what is ground
can someone point me to an easily digestible youtube video that explains what ground is

Anyone know how to take apart the plastic shells of LG Flatrons? From what I can tell, they seperate from the front bezel first. Just want to double check before destroying my ME20CR, since there are literally no service manuals for it on the net. Same goes for teardown guides, since this is a 'medical' imaging monitor with no intended user servicibility.
Are you really using a laptop HDD as a OS HDD? Anyway do the BSOD say anything or they are blank? I assume you already reinstalled windows or atleast tested Linux for a stability test?
Benjamin Gray
>Kurei Kei Edition >>>/trahs/
Adam Garcia
I have reinstalled windows multiple times, yes. Yeah, I am using a laptop's HDD. Blue screens have said a lot of things from memory error , system, watch dog violation, etc. Many things I have reseated my RAM and for a while that seemed to fix everything... for 1 day... probably a coincidence. Computer crashes even if I'm only using my APU, so I don't think the gpu seating is the problem
Jackson Bailey
Did you run Memtest yet?
Ian Jenkins
Should I put a password on my android tablet? I use it for simple things like reading books but I have my google account on it. I'm not sure if I should put a password on it since it seems like a damn hassle inputting the pattern every time.
Parker Ortiz
I haven't
Xavier Gomez
Well run Memtest86+ and let one pass finish.

>what is ground People sometimes get confused between grounding (making sure high voltage is safe) and ground (the reference point in a circuit where there is "0 volts"
"0 volts" doesn't mean there's no electricity there, it's just used as a reference to everything else. Voltage is a measure of electric potential difference between two points. One point has a lot of electric potential while another point has less. The difference between them is measured in volts. If you measure two points in a circuit and the difference between their electric potential is "5" then by convention you say one part is 5V while the other is 0V. The "0V" section is called ground, again by convention.
It's just easier to say the positive end of a batter is 5V end the other end is 0V than to say if you measured the electric potential difference between one end of the batter and the other you'll find that one end if 5 units higher than the other.

Just how bad of an idea is it to rely on Bitlocker as my encryption? My goal is simply to make sure no-one can see the weird porn on my PC while I spend some time in the military.
People are making fun of her for using GNU style brackets
Samuel Howard
Thank you
Xavier Ortiz
A regex can populate cells with occurance count, look up how to use them in Calc.
Samuel Morgan
Enough to keep normalfags away from it, but wont stop anyone tech literate, bitlocker sucks in general.
Nathaniel Edwards
Yeah see Veracrypt if you want any decent windows encryption.
Bentley Edwards
Regex is just an expression that has a specific reference to what you are searching for. There has to be a simpler way then writing thousands of cells worth of formula.
Carter Moore
pls respond
>Do I need to do anything to test a micro sd card for legitimacy besides using h2testw?

h2testw and a speedtest.
Ayden Morris
Hi guys please don’t say the n word anymore it’s very inconsiderate thank you and spread this message

I got a Gsync monitor to enjoy high refresh rates, but realized neither of my computers support Gync. And only one even has a displayport. Wat do:
- get a 1070 ti for the stronger computer - return it, get a Freesync + powerful AMD GPU (equivalent to 1070 ti, or in the ballpark)
? Also what are your thoughts on Zotac. Yes. If it keeps locking because you put it down for a minute, increase the display timeout.
Thanks. Is there a reason to use a separate program for the speed tests vs the numbers h2testw gives, or just to double check?
Jayden Fisher
I have several dozen SATA drives that I want to hook up to a computer for streaming. I dont want a NAS, i want these hooked right up to a desktop. What should I look for as the most cost effective method? is there some sort of just SATA bay i can connect via USB or what?
Andrew Lee
*Sync is gamer meme garbage to make it more expensive. It matters little
Jack Lee
what the hell is this and how long has it been a thing
Yes just a double check. CrystalDiskMark. ATTO. HDTune. etc.
Michael James
Thanks again. I was dumb and bought from Amazon knowing they mix the stock, so I'm just trying to be careful.
Cameron Martin
Sure, but if I want to upgrade regardless I might as well stay consistent right?
Anthony Price
requirements are network connectivity, and the ability to configure SMB or NFS shares, preferably NFS. If something will just connect to a PC via USB it fulfills all of these requirements
Connor Thomas
Get a 2070,no reason to buy 4 year old tech.

It's been a thing for a while but google purchased a popular video DRM tool (Widevine) in 2010. Essentially enabling DRM allows you to watch the video but your browser will run special proprietary software in a sandbox in order to get the video to play and often regular stuff your browser can do with videos is restricted by this software.
It's an attempt to stop people from just right clicking and downloading a video. Netflix uses it too. Try to download a video from Netflix. The silverlight plugin they use is DRM to prevent it.
Alexander Hernandez
So just plug them in to the motherboard? Why would you want a slow ass usb connection?
Connor Johnson
oh okay, thanks for the info I don't think it'd be very hard to just record my screen though if I really gave a shit
Thomas Baker
I need a lightweight Android emulator. I'm able to run two instances of Bluestacks just fine, but after a while it does result in freezes forcing me to restart. Pic related, specs.
what are the more legitimate vendors to buy windows 10 for -$30 from?
Asher Lee
>I don't think it'd be very hard to just record my screen though if I really gave a shit You can do exactly this. I don't really get DRM in online videos but some exec somewhere thought it was a great idea.
Alexander Morgan
can't remove usb safely because of system writing to these
Google says it might be caused by "everything.exe" which is some windows indexing program. It also seems like you should just be able to yank out the drive without it affecting anything
Evan Perez
I am using TrueCrypt and I want to stop. I was using it just because I don't want people to access some of my files when they use my PC. What is a good alternative to the program? Just a program that blocks access to a hard drive partition unless I am the one who launches the PC.
Noah Martin
Ok, seriously stupid question here but...why is VeraCrypt so much faster than Bitlocker? I tried both, the latter took ages to fully encrypt a drive while VeraCrypt was instantaneous. Am I missing something here?
Justin Brooks
Because it supports more encryption methods and types. Also because Bitlocker is shit all around.
Also if your HDD/SSD supports hardware encryption then it will be fast.
Justin Wright
Truecrypt deprecated itself because (a) Linux has had native alternatives for years and (b) Windows has had Bitlocker for a long enough period of time. So basically you should use one of those. Or if you don't want to or can't use one of those then use Veracrypt, which is Truecrypt's functionality adopted by a continuing open-source community.
That said, if you don't want people to access certain files and really mean it (rather than just a strong suggestion/deterrent), then encryption is really the only correct way. So whether it's Bitlocker, Truecrypt, Veracrypt, or whathaveyou, it's better than whatever "locked permission access" setup you can make without encryption.
Liam Barnes
But I don't need encryption. I just don't want my family and friends access some files. They aren't hackers or tech savvy and it wouldn't really be a problem if they found them. I just don't want them available unless I use my PC.
Isaiah Walker
Look. Encryption is basically zero-cost. So anything that touts "security and privacy" without also providing encryption is probably either (a) so tech-incompetent that I wouldn't trust anything they make or (b) relying on the user to be so incompetent that the user will need to recover their access to their protected files without knowing the key, in which case how can you trust them to not give access to your family?
Just encrypt. It's not an extreme measure and the simpler you make the requirements for YOU to open up the drive for viewing, the simpler it will be for anyone else to.
Nolan Cook
Okay, I get it.
Nolan Smith
This is doable with regular Windows permissions...
Jack Lee
Is there some better alternative to just copying and pasting files when trying to transfer the contents of 1 drive to another? Wangblows here.
This is a retarded question but if I'm making a webpage where I talk about escaping characters in HTML how do I actually type the entities? Like, how do I write < such that the browser doesn't detect it as such and turn it into a
is it possible to install GNU/Linux on a normal tablet? AFAIK, the kernel supports ARM, and there are plenty of software available for this architecture too.
Lincoln Hernandez
Theorically? yes possible, but i hope you have a PhD in computer engineering and a really huge amount of knowledge in the tablet you want install Linux on because you will have to research, create and flash a huge amount of stuff.

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the google translate chrome extension?

how is it called when you just plug some instructions to a random variable with some rules and an end state and hope it works?
I desperately need to hack into a SkyDrive account. This dude has some shit he could use to blackmail my gf, and while she could proceed through legal ways she wants to avoid any kind of leaks. So i got this build right now pcpartpicker.com/list/LxzKbX and i tried to update the motherboard bios to the newest build, and now turning it on causes it to shut down for a second, then come back on and it will either not post or if it does post it will show the same screen that it did when i was updating it, but it wont recognize any drive/folder with BIOS files in it. How the fuck did i screw up a bios update?

I am unable to overclock my HP 22xw monitor to 76hz with my RX 580 which can only do it at 68hz. I was able to get 76hz with both a GTX 760ti and a 750ti so i know my monitor can do 76 hz. How do i make my RX 580 do 76hz??? Please note i am using HDMI and did so with my nvidia cards.

So a few days ago all of my CSS for google.com stopped working in opera.
I was using Stylus with a dark google theme, and it doesn't work anymore. I tried installing a direct dark extension for google (lit. Dark theme for Google™) and that doesn't work either. Other CSS works fine. What the fuck is the problem here? I didn't change any permissions or anything, tried reinstalling the extensions/style, and nothing. Anyone help?

Yesterday I picked up a new monitor to replace my smaller one that I used in a dual setup and ever since, my PC has crashed anytime I've opened a Twitch stream. I've never had this issue prior to using this new monitor. I've tried re-seating my graphics card and I've done a clean install with DDU. I'm not sure what else to try. Specs: CPU: i5 4670k GPU: AMD R9 390 Mobo: MSI z87 MPower PSU: OCZ ModxStream 700W Ram: 8gb OS: Win10 I was playing Destiny 2 for hours without issue today. It seems to happen ONLY when I try to watch a Twitch stream. My old monitor setup was a 1920x1080 and a 1366x768 and I'm now using dual 1920x1080s.
Benjamin Nguyen
any particular suggestions? something with a lenient OS so I can dl free comics through legitimate means

It's the kernal (taken from ubuntu iirc) without any of the gui elements of linux. So you can run linux compatible shit, but there's not really a gui or most of what you would associate with an OS.

Eh, fuck it. Had it backwards. It's not linux, it's GNU. Not memeing-
Never got the response I was looking for from the last thread so I'm reposting.
I'm an electrical engineering student needing to learn Python. I'm decent at C, and fantastic at Motorola 68HC11 assembly. Literally, the only things I know about Python are that spacing matters, and it's interpreted instead of compiled.
Got an old mouse, it's all plastic and the sides are sticky as shit. Wouldn't wipe off with water or windex, so I'm assuming the wrong cleaning agent was used on it. Any way to make it not stick as shit anymore?

Make a Linux USB. >I have never used Linux before Make a Linux Mint Cinnamon USB using Rufus.
>Why Because RAM and CPU are working, you still have to check the rest. There are 4 stuff left to confirm and pray is not the last one, not because its expensive but because it will be annoying to check. We have to confirm the HDD is not failing, that Wangblows is not the problem, that the motherboard is not dying, or that the PSU is not dying.
>HDD Run the disk utility and run a benchmark, post results. >Wangblows If you dont get a Kernel panic then its HDD/Windows related. >Motherboard Kernel panic. >PSU You will need another PSU. Judging by your setup i assume you cheaped on it, let me guess, Corsair? Chinese? Thermaltek? Prebuilt?
Christian Hughes
RMS is probably losing his shit over this with even windows calling it linux.
Kind of hate Microsoft for this. My biggest complaint with windows is a lack of a useful command line now I have much less to bitch about.
