Arch (GNU +)Linux is a distro for people who like to pretend that they have mastered linux system administration after having been spoonfed poor, or otherwise incomplete advice by a smorgasbord of shitty YouTube tutorials and wiki-posts. This type of attitude could only manifest on sites with as horrible a userbase as reddit. Uncoincidentally, usage of Arch Linux propagated was expedited on r/unixporn.
Arch (GNU +)Linux is a distro for people who like to pretend that they have mastered linux system administration after...
That's an overstatement.
pretty much. arch is a "LOOK AT HOW GREAT LINUX IS GUYS IT'S SO MUCH BETTER THAN WINDOWS AND IT'S FREE!!!!" newbie honeymoon phase distro, after a while people get sick of tweaking and fixing shit and install fedora or debian, customise it to their liking and get on their real work.
of course, there are arch or manjaro users who prefer it for legitimate technical reasons and keep it updated without breaking anything for a long time but those in my experience are few and far between from ricer meme lords
How controversial. Please continue.
are you dumb?
you're using linux, use the fuck you like mang
Some of us have more useful things to be doing than endlessly hopping between distros to avoid using anything that's too popular with the wrong people to be cool.
Enjoy your next re-install when your current distro rolls into the spot Arch currently occupies.
>there are people who use a distro I dislike
