Media player for linux

Hello friends, what is the best player for movies and music on linux? Used MPC-HC on windows and it doesn't support linux sadly.

mpc in wine is the only solution

deadbeef for music
mpv for movies

mpv is a nice simple video player. Rhythmbox is good for music, or cmus if you prefer the terminal

Is this a serious option?

vlc && MPV

This is the true answer. I am samefagging but really, this is the best answer.

Yeah I'll go with mpv and try out a couple music players since there doesn't seem to be a consensus at all

she is so cute i wish i would see her on real life

>movies
mpv.

>music
foobar2k+wine.

MPV gets my vote as well. For music, cmus has no equal. And uh, Feh for image viewing if you want one for that too.
