Just got a 512GB 850 pro for 79 dollars, trying to clone the drive with Clonezilla, but it won't boot. Gonna download Ubuntu and see if I can just copy the partitions to it.

Botnet

why doesn't speccy show the oc GHz on that page?

You did yourself a favor user. Gacha shit are literally the worst type if games you can ever fucking play

Tips please?

Install Arch Linux

1080 paired with 1080p 60 Hz screen is sort of gay
moar/better disk, lose optical drive
moar ram if you do anything other than vidyas

In order of importance

I found a 2K IPS panel on ebay for 100 burgerbucks, just missing a stand.

Attached: 2018-11-30.png (853x620, 49K)

Should I get externals or internal hard drives?

internal

Any recommended companies or size limits?

>32 bit
>8 GB of RAM

How does using dual clovertown xeons compere to one modern cpu?

Apparently this build gets 100% value score on userbenchmark.

>1080 paired with 1080p 60 Hz screen is sort of gay
A 2080Ti is not enough for a heavily modded 1080p skyrim.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Attached: 2018-11-28_14-27-05.png (503x341, 19K)

isn't that whole build one major fucking bottleneck for the card?

Is the timing on that ram correct ?

Not for most games, but it does bottleneck it in the PUBG, Battlefield and Tarkov. I'm getting a 2600 soon i'm gathering the funds.

Any suggestion with new monitor?

Attached: r1600.jpg (757x532, 118K)

based

Attached: 1528661660331.jpg (858x1200, 775K)

Get a 144fps monitor. 1440p is better, but a 1080p will do if jaggies don't bother you. You don't know what you're missing out on. 60fps feels like shit after seeing 144fps.

Also get an SSD. Even if it's only a 250gb sata, throw your OS and your most played game on there and your shit will boot up in seconds and you can blink past loading screens.

>I just wanted 144fps gayming at 1440p

Is this some kind of mental gymnastics where you round a 2 digit number into 3?
gpu.userbenchmark.com/Nvidia-GTX-1070-Ti/Rating/3943
Scroll down to game benchmarks.

I seriously don't understand. Did Nvidia cuck you or something? Why would you lie about performance on a card you don't even have? Is it sour grapes?

hello gents, speccy is reading 85+°C on my cpu right now even though Nothing is running and my cooler is physically cold to the touch, what could be the cause ? brand new build btw

Ryzen?

Is it an air cooler? If so, touching the heatsink should feel warm, not cool. If it's cool that means that heat isn't being sucked up from the IHS, AKA it's not doing it's job.

I'm going to guess you're not a retard and actually applied thermal paste and tightened the screws, so you maybe just forgot to peel off the sticker at the bottom before installing the cooler. Pic related.

you have reached the fractal levels of retard
no matter how close you zoom in there is still infinitely more retard in there

It just works, I reset my ram speeds because I fucked up and got blue screens, then I forgot to turn them up again.

This isn't /v/. No one is going to entertain your imaginary benchmarks.

I didn't blow up the image before posting desu. Still shows the sticker in the right place though.

Ryzen 5 2600, the heatsink is cool, my bios is reading 35°C though, should the heatsink feel warm anyway ?

Speccy is just reading the wrong temperature sensor built into the ryzen die there is 2 sensors on the die one reads higher to control the fan. Tctrl and Tdie. Tctrl will be higher than Tdie on ryzen its about a 20 degree offset i believe

It's just a speccy can't read the temps. Use HWmonitor instead.

Attached: hwinfovsspeccytemp.jpg (1258x609, 155K)

My heatsink feels warm at 33C, using a 212 Evo on a i7-8700k. You should install HWinfo instead if Speccy isn't giving you the right readings.

Nice CPU temps

When is the release of Sekiro ?

your build is all over the place lol
is it workstation or gaming? that monitor is throwing me off hard.

Is upgrading from core 2 duo 8400 to core 2 quad q6600 worth it?

Attached: Untitled.jpg (762x501, 82K)

Worth what? $5? Sure.

No. If your board supports the 12MB cache Q9000's or Xeons and you can pick one up for dirt cheap then maybe.

The issue here is that you can sell your C2D system for $50 and pick up an i5 2500 one for $100 that would run rings around a C2Q.

ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-790-Core-i5-2500-3-30Ghz-250GB-HDD-8GB-RAM-DVD-1334/163405567401?hash=item260bbb15a9:g:G5UAAOSwAclbpSx5:rk:3:pf:0

It gets the job done.

Attached: s;peccy.png (663x524, 40K)

I live in a third world country and i5 2500 system is still pretty expensive here. Q6600 is like $10.

post speccy.

It's a core 2 quad.
Those things don't give a fuck about the memory speed.

What do you need 64gb ram for? I thought 16 was the norm

Speccy keeps showing my temp being at 90ish C. Ryzen Master and other programs keeps showing it at ~34 C.

RAM is Ballistix Sport LT Gray 16GB Kit (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 UDIMM

Just installed a new mobo and cpu. Will likely be receiving some type of 2x8GB DDR4-3200 RAM along with a RX 580 or GTX 1060.

Does that patch still work? Btw 1700 is better than the 1800X. you can crank it higher than the 1800X.

This, I went from DDR2 533 to 800 and my Cinebench R10 score went from 8609 to 8613.

>tfw still assblasted I didn't build one in 08

>Does that patch still work
what patch? It works perfectly fine.
1800x is at 3.8GHz air cooled.
No need to go higher than that.

X58 is still the perfect platform.

Eclectic as fuck, but still perfect.

Attached: westmeretho.png (815x529, 53K)

Nice. I just picked up a Z600. With two 2.4GHz quads it just edges out my i7 4790. Going to throw a couple X5670's in there when I get the chance.

If you want to save some money and get some higher base clocks, X5677s are cheaper than X5670s.

Honestly, I wish X58 boards/Triple-Channel memory was cheaper. These old Xeons still pack a lot of ass on their own, and you can overclock these things through the roof. The W3690 even has an unlocked multiplier.

>when you clean 3 years worth of dust, put new paste and it still idles hot.

Attached: Untitled.png (651x468, 34K)

X5677 is a quad. 50% more cores beats 17% more clocks. It's also 130W compared to 95W X5670
