I do appreciate the fact that they put a huge focus on the desktop and nothing else. With a bit of polish, Solus + Budgie could really be the go-to OOTB desktop distribution. It's too bad the project got torn to shreds by a bunch of random bullshit and Ikey disappeared. We'll see where the project goes from now on, I guess.

Assuming solus budgie was extremely stable, I'd say it is a much better option to recommend to people as babbys first linux (people being not that tech savy) than the usual ubuntu or even elementalos.
