This will be really stupid, but is it possible for someone to somehow remote control my browser (Chrome) without my knowledge of it? Two really weird things happened today:
1. When I'd enter my browser settings and went to the Cookies page, if I tried to click anywhere or type in the search bar my browser would immediately close. I opened my browser and repeated this like 7 times, without fail, it'd close when I go to the Cookie menu. My browser did not close in any other activities.
2. Tried to bid on something on eBay, and whenever I'd write something into the bid box it'd disappear a second or so later.
I hope I'm just overly paranoid and someone here can explain why these things happened (it ceased happening now).

I'm testing out having my own .sty file so I can just load in most of the packages, commands, styles, etc, I usually use in my TeX files.
It can happen, disconnect from the internet and use a different machine, if you can one that isn't connected to the same network and look deeper into the issue, botnets are a scary thing. Might not be your case but your post said that you input your credit card information so it's better to go full paranoic on this.

will heroin make me a better programmer? I figure it would help me make connections I wouldnt see otherwise and give me a better perspective. Plus being comfy all the time music make it easier to work for long periods

My PC's sound goes off at random intervals, sometimes once per minute and sometimes every 5 or so, usually it's for 1 to 3 seconds, sometimes less and rarely more, never more than 4 or 5 seconds. Lately it seems slightly more often than before and for longer (still I don't think it has ever gone for over 5 seconds).
Is my computer gonna explode? I already took it appart and cleaned everything that could be cleaned. Please help how do I fix this?

All the best programmers use heroin. When Linus Sebastian wrote the original Linux kernel he was on a six month heroin binge.
Regarding installing Win 7 on a ryzen PC, the pastebin talks if your computer lacks a USB2.0 port, because you can't get the USB3.0 drivers with ryzen or whatever. Does that mean if you have 2.0 ports on your mobo you can install Win7 on a ryzen setup without a PS2 keyboard?
