unironically this

yes I can

my Sempron 2650 was comfy as fuck
my Athlon 880k is comfy as fuck
my Ryzen 3 2200g will be comfy as fuck

2500k

Don't even have one but I came to post this

>771 Xeon
I spent 15 bucks in a E5450 and it gave a new life to my old 775 rig, now it's in my parents house and I use it without any problem

These and 2700

Zoomers will never the wonders this CPU did

this
dream cpu, but i iz poor fag

Phenom II X6 1090t

> never
they would never understand. zoomers are mostly computer illiterate, cannot comprehend how those three chips had so much impact on the world of computing and arcade gaming.

...

its a lovely CPU even though I turned off the iGPU, but I would wait to see what APUs are coming out with the Zen 2 release

fuck off, moron.

My computer has a Ryzen 5 2500U. How good is that?

*crashes premiere*

Still using my C2Q Q9550

Legitimately the only tech purchase I've ever regretted. I have Athlon X2s and handicapped 3core Phenoms that still work, but the FX 8150 I bought, at stock clock its entire life, sudoku'd itself and took the motherboards VRMs with it.

which laptop?
couldn't give a fuck
noice, that was the CPU i started with in 2012

meant for

>No botnet
>It's chipset has drivers for XP
>doesn't seem to give a shit how slow your RAM is
Based comfy FX.

Q6600

>Première crashes it.

Also the FX chips support ECC on the AM3+ socket without buying an expensive Xeon.

unlocked phenom II x3
zoomers will never experience this feeling

this
literally aging like fine where, wheras intelaviv shit keeps slowing down with every patch and fix to the garbage design.

thats a feature goy

athlon 64 x2

...

>full-speed on chip cache
>insane clocks relative to other x86 chips on release
>great 32-bit performance for real operating systems
>almost exclusively used in high quality prosumer and enterprise hardware

It makes me sad when I watch old keynotes where they brag about more io and more features on pro machines.

Meanwhile, supreme beings went on with LGA1366 and beyond

More for the layman, albeit a solid layman choice. The patrician thinking man's choice is a 2600 on a B450

The funny part is that a few years later he pushed IBM to get the G5 to 3GHz

E6400s are still in use at my office

literally using the Core2 Duo on both my computers. It's perfect for everyday tasks and still has years of life left in it. I love it.

based

that shit impacts the majority of the CPUs ITT and most high-end CPUs made after 1995
can't fault any of them for not being able to secure a use case that wouldn't exist for another two decades

because in x86 land Intel could compensate for the pipeline bullshit by raising clocks seemingly endlessly while the G5 was a literal housefire at 2.5 GHz and up that needed to be liquid cooled just to be tolerable

they still hit a wall in the end but they hit it a little further out than the G5 ended up hitting it

PA Semi actually went through the wall but at that point the Intel transition was already underway

man I totally forgot about those, seems like they just couldn't get their shit together in time and the literal who status of the company designing them made it harder to sway Apple away from a transition

the chips that actually did get released seem kind of limp though, but maybe they could have scaled them up higher. PPC was starting to get limp in general though by then, even when the G5 was competitive it was still more of a workstation chip and stronger in FP than integer math

Unfortunately I still have a bunch of these dual core 775 cpus even after giving a lot of them away lol, they all came from systems that upgraded to Q8200/Q9300/Q9400 for dirt cheap. Q9400 is like 14bux these days.

I'm stuck using a Q9400 OCed to 3.2ghz with 8gb DDR2 800 almost everyday down at the shop, at least it's got a 256gb SSD and GTX 650 1G so it's at least bearable now.

It's like no one here locally wants to actually upgrade to a DDR4 platform because they are fucking expensive, and instead opting to just run what ever they currently have into the ground, and then buy a cheap 2nd hand DDR3 platform and proceed to run that into the ground. Many of them would rather opt for a 2~4th gen Intel i5/i7 refurbish rather than building a new Ryzen 2200G/2400G system considering the price difference.

Had a Socket A PC-133 running win98 come to the shop with blown caps back in September. Owner refused to build something new, citing that this was what was controlling the dot matrix printing out his companies invoices and the driver wouldn't run anything newer than Windows XP, so he went home with a Core2Duo and a serial printer port to USB converter.

Not a CPU.

phenom ii beats core 2 jewuo though.

What's comfy about a bunch of cheap gaming console CPUs?

I unironically use this setup with a gtx 770 for my "gayming" rig

same but dual E5450s and an RX 470

/thread

They made dual socket lga 775 boards?

Missing the superior FX 6300

In your case dude, I'd try finding a cheap 1156 socket board like an H61 and get an Ali-Express X3440 Xeon.

I'm on one right now

>patrician thinking man's choice
You mean poorfags's choice

>spending more for less to prove you're not poor
A fool and his money

Athlon 5150
There. Could even play E:D with it.

oh I forgot to read up the chain, my system is dual 771

What if I upgraded a Q6600 to i7-2700K and I'm still using it?

I went from 775 DDR2 straight to 1151.

We could have now multicore netburst-derived chips running at 8-10GHz per core which would be a dreamlike thing for gayming.

We could if not for the fact that the super-long pipeline would shit itself with each branch misprediction causing performance to be worse than a cpu from current architectures running at 3GHz.

Q6600 is comfy as fuck

What the fuck makes a processor "comfy"? You fucking autists. Put me in front of a computer without allowing me to open the System Properties or CPU-z and I won't be able to tell you whether it's Intel or AMD or what gen it is. All that matters is whether it's snappy or sluggish given the applications you have to use and automatically, every processor is comfier than the last one.

butthurt intelfag spotted

E8600 calling in... Comfy as fucking comfy gets Duo/bro

2700x comfier my dood
I can't imagine how comfy the 2nd gen 7nm zen4s will be

Already obsolete next year.

As far as I can tell "comfy" is a metric of quality, which usually is difficult to measure due to being highly subjective.

/thread
also nice
>craptops
better than expected but come on now

this is actually a surprisingly good video

i miss my e6750
i still have a c2d macbook 15'' which is comfy too

>Just 100% my cores up
I cant even play gayms like bf1 with something in a background.
