It's hilarious how this shit going down is what has started to revitalize Newgrounds for its art portal for the first time in nearly a decade.

Problem with Patreon is that the owners fucking HATE porn and loathe the fact that their most popular creators are almost all smut artists of some sort. Just earlier this year they locked every NSFW patreon under "community review", and they did the same last year by locking down every patreon that made NSFW public posts. Needing to pay to view NSFW content is going to greatly limit the amount of migration from tumblr to Patreon.

Pro tip: you can have a personal website as your main art site, and still post occasional images to (((commercial and popular))) websites.

There's a bunch of places, but like someone mentioned earlier, the problem is that they are all splintered due to being their own personal sites. This is what tumblr fixed, it brought everything together under one simple umbrella, you could be a fucking retard when it came to HTML/CSS/etc. but it allowed you to create your own page while still being extremely searchable.

This is a pretty huge loss and it's a shame we have no good replacement.
