If your priorities are gaming as well as music, you want a wider sound-stage. FOr that i would go for the DT 990premium 250 ohms, leaving you some budget room for an amp if you need one.

>wide sound stage
>sennheiser
AKG K7XX or DT880

stax dont fall for stupid HD600 meme

koss porta pro maybe hd681 evo

they do, thank you!

lol so people shitpost both the Beyerdynamics and the Sennheisers
What gives
Which is good?
I could get a Sony or Audiotechnica instead; even a Philips

youtube.com/watch?v=REdUcs9J37E

oh np then!
both are super comfy. they'll serve you well.

Any treble greater than 1 kHz is unacceptable.
>which is good?
Sennheiser, but if you want proper good sound you need to go with Stax.

you mean these? amazon.com/Creative-EF0060-Aurvana-Live-Headphones/dp/B000ZJZ7OA

mate can u stop lmao
he's asking for actual advice
the sennheisers are probably better desu.
beyerdynamics have a different sound signature that won't be the same as hd650.
i'd definitely go with those.

do you know what are the main differences between the philips one with or without the S?

Are these actually comparable to the 712s, or would I just be better off getting the 712 pro for 100 bucks more
massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-akg-k7xx-red-edition

sorry, force of habit.
shp9500 is the model, i call them shp9500s as a plural.

oh, here there are 2 different models with and without the s

for max comfort and wide soundstage it's either the AKG K7xx/K712 (at least I think that's the one, might be 702?) or the Beyers DT880
with the AKGs it's more likely (but not certain) you'll need to spend an extra hundred on an amp so keep that in mind with your budget

dx3 arrived, they wrapped this shit up like a pack of drugs lmfao

stop saying things that make sense fucking retard.

Got a VR headset but it appears to only support one triple channel audio line.
Guess I'll have to buy a headset (mic included) if I want to talk?

a mic-headphone splitter cable is too fancy of a thing to use?

Doesn't support it, apparently. What I'm reading from peoples' comments at least.

HD600

mine was not but it's like 70 degrees out today

mine still is somehow

Are the 1990 close to the 880 or rather would they be a good upgrade? How do 1990 compare to the hd 800 from senn?

1990 is bright garbage, the 880 is better.

HD800 is better than both but the price is retarded. HD800 is basically a DT880 with a fuckhueg soundstage.

1990 are a great upgrade to the 880 in basically all aspects
never tried the HD 800 because that shit is more than double the price of the 1990 which is something I'm not willing to spend anyway

Thanks. Should I just stay on the 880 or is there anything reasonable under $1000, like a hd650 or 600 that is an improvement?
Which amp are you using?

I highly recommend the AKG K612, it's AKG's best headphone and shits on the K7XX family. It's probably the only open dynamic headphone that can go toe-to-toe with the HD600 in terms of fidelity. It's also cheap as fuck.

The HD600/650 are more a "I want something different" kind of an upgrade from DT880 than a "I want this, but better" kind that is the 1990
also I run them on the first gen Fiio X3

>Thanks. Should I just stay on the 880 or is there anything reasonable under $1000, like a hd650 or 600 that is an improvement?
The HD600 and HD650 are better but marginally so, I don't think it's worth spending the money for those headphones when you already have a DT880. You can EQ the DT880 to sound like those headphones for free. I say just save up and get the HD800 since you're already comfortable with the DT880's sound. HD800 is a meme but the way it projects sound at you is amazing and I've never heard any other headphone that does that, the soundstage is very impressive, but it's still a far cry from speakers, but still probably the best soundstage on headphones.

I bought hd569 and compared to my old Superlux 681F, it's way more tilted towards the instruments (although a lot more detailed). I can barely make out the vocals on some songs. Is there a way to bring the voices forward a bit?

Did you try using oratory1990's EQ?
Shit worked wonders on my 569.

Equalizer APO. It's possible that your motherboard has high output impedance and it affects the Senns.

yes, by getting HD600 and selling HD569

Precisely as user said. Neither are good choices for the price.
Get yourself something else that's cheaper and does the same job. HD 600 confirmed snake oil.

You cant go wrong with either. I like HD650, people here will say HD600.

i never was into kpop but this sounds pretty good

stax you cant go wrong. anything dynamic will just be a side-grade instead of an upgrade.

staxfaggots i have 507. What amp should i get? I sold my 727II since i never used it and was collecting dust (yes i know i should've modded the FUCK out of it). I want the absolute cheapest that will work since I mainly use my speakers now

>two pairs of sennheiser hd 650 please, one for me and one for my fiance

I would only pay $100 for them.

Honestly with Stax, no other headphones should bother existing
