Oh yeah, and free shipping too, they literally shipped it like a letter (no protection). It's a PW2 which only has a 212 PPI screen as opposed to the 300 PPI screen on some of the newer Kindles, but it's good enough for me.

And well, I want color for the colored manga / color pages. Most hentai also is colored. Until the perpetually delayed good quality color eInk is a thing in readers, I think I'll stick with normal displays.

Some do, but others surely have the same idea like some premium phone models: It's a primary reason for plebs to upgrade / buy a new one soon.

It's another device. It will be B&W if you want some lightweight eInk design. It may not really actually help all that much if your phone battery life is good [or not more than a power bank]. And there's a whole lot of people that I know that just prefer paper for various reasons.

It could be useful if you don't really care about all of the above and just want a digital B&W reading surface with the trade-off being more towards battery life than other features. Or in the case of a color tablet, it'll likely be heavy due to the battery required to power a rather big screen.

if you know how to adjust the brightness on your screen, a monitor will work just fine. Really, the only way that looking at a monitor will tire your eyes is if the screen brightness doesn't match the surrounding environment. Fact is, back in the day people didn't really fiddle with brightness like we do now, so many people didn't understand this until they got a smartphone.

I was thinking about getting the Kindle Oasis since someone dropped a bottle on my paperwhite and fucked up the screen a bit. Is it worth the extra money? I do listen to audio books quite a lot too. Also, where's the best place to download manga these days? I'm just getting back into it.

Most mangas have a couple of color pages here and there. They don't do it very often because it takes a lot of time to color a page. By removing color you are not getting the full experience of the manga IMO.
