I block JS by default. I whitelist it where needed, which isn't very often. I allow it with the click of one button. I'm then spared from nearly all of the cookie notifications, subscription requests, autoplaying videos, and 90% of browser malware vectors. If that triggers you, then you're free to stay mad. :^)
