Austria isn't big, but it has huge potential for expansion. It can quite easily wipe out Venice and get a PU with Hungary, making it an undisputed dominant in Central Europe. The only threat are the Ottomans and maybe Bohemia at some point. But doing a WC with Austria isn't all that easy.

I play small nations, big ones are too fast to achieve domination and from that point its predictable conquests for several centuries.

Thanks, but I wasn't an alcoholic, I just used to drink heavily on my days off work, about 2-4 days, then waste my days, staying in the house all day because I was too jittery to do or plan anything the next day.
I don't have any friends, I never have, or even a girlfriend. I think it's because I don't allow people to get too close to me as I don't trust a lot of people. I want to find some other hobbies where I'm with people, but I'm always really awkward around social situations and avoid people all the time.

You could try being more active in church beyond just attending on sundays. It's a really helpful way to get comfortable making smalltalk since most people there elderly and they always appreciate "younger" people being engaged -> less pressure

For me substance misuse was about stopping dreams, because all of my episodes start with a lucid dream that bleeds into reality throughout the day. Alcohol and weed did the trick for that, before I got properly medicated. I guess a lot of substance misuse is about trying to mask mental illness, but I think a lot of it is about impulse control. Lack of impulse control could be due to low intelligence, neurological predispositions or learned behaviour from a terrible upbringing.

Lack of impulse control IMO isn't just about being /able/ to control the impulse to abuse substances, but having a reason to control them. Sometimes people have nothing else to live for and substances simply provide an easy out

I guess there is a whole bunch of compounding factors, those are just my thoughts
