Nice editor freetards

Worst editor I've ever used.

>press D to go to the right

i use vim, not because i think the controls are good for editing text, but because all my other apps have vim keybinds

Just use ed or ex instead

Do you also remap WASD to ULDR in games?

ESDF or get out

>missing the point

>this thread again
1.: There's literally nothing wrong with that, it works just fine.
2.: If you're moving by character while in vim and you've heard of f/F, t/T, / and ?, you are possibly retarded.
3.: hjkl are on the home row, don't argue that the arrow keys are better for movement

L brings you to the bottom of the screen, l goes to the left, and kys is what you should do

I mean l goes to the right and OP is still a sub $100k brainlet until death

Nano is for non-autistic people

>press L to go to the right
wrong

Pico/Nano are for stupid people that want to pretend they're above using notepad.

>j do go down
>k to go up
>l to go right
>gg to go to the first line
>G to go the last line
>0 to go to the start of a line
>$ to go to the end of a line
>i to insert
>o to insert on a new line

>c to cut
>y to copy
>x to delete
>p to paste after
>v to select
>V to select a line
>ctrl+v to select a block
>...
What're you saying user, it makes perfect sense

no one's forcing you to use it - learn it properly or fuck off to """""Visual Studio Kode""""" or whatever you corporate whoring ass zoomers are salivating at these days

seething fizzbuzzer freetard cope

>3.: hjkl are on the home row, don't argue that the arrow keys are better for movement
at least put them in jkl; then

Sometimes you don't need anything more than notepad. What's wrong with a simple CLI text editor?

>A to append
>c to change
>y to yank
>v enters visual mode
>V enters visual line mode
makes more sense

> t.

Cute arguments.

but the purpose is to have your index and middle finger on up a and down

That does make more sense, I like it.
Still, I'm gonna try switching to emacs, wish me luck vim breh.

IMO emacs is better because you can't accidentally annihilate your project by forgetting your mode

>implying that vscode + vim pluglin isn't perfection

Don't ditch vim entirely, install evil-mode and you'll be happier

Use a mode indicator in your mode-line or cursor

what was that vim comand that let you undo redo by the minutes or seconds? earlyer later? it was something like that

>I want vim but I don't want vim

???

>ranking people based on the difficulty of use of their text editor

>Ranking people based on the difficulty of their job

fucking fashist
