>keep failing coding tests
>revise and study
>still keep failing coding tests
>got recently medically diagnozed so can confirm I have no autism or ADHD
>send employers cold calls and emails asking for an unpaid internship
>tfw need experience for even an unpaid internship

I just don't know what to do anymore Jow Forums....I probably have low IQ because I STILL can't clear the coding tests despite practising. But I don't know what else to do other than programming...

Learn a trade.

Attached: 1.jpg (636x773, 26K)

lmao you must be a sperg. even i wouldn't hire you

Attached: 2.jpg (222x227, 4K)

You need to network more. Know the right people.

Attached: 3.jpg (746x548, 13K)

back in my day all you needed was a strong handshake and you'd get the job. you're probably a numale faggot.

This.

Attached: 4.jpg (971x546, 49K)

also, post here a coding test you failed most recently

Natural selection at work.
If you can't convince another human being to give you a job under any circumstances, you must really have some kind of mental deformity and deserve to starve on the streets.

>CS major
>applied to 1 job
>got hired
why do people have issues with finding a job i will never understand

Attached: 1501637795116.jpg (500x493, 34K)

Just check out. None of this shit is going to matter in 100 years.

Shit, it probably won't matter in 50.

Hell, we may be lucky to make it another 25.

This. I applied to 5 places and got 5 offers. OP is on suicide watch.

Attached: 5.jpg (205x246, 5K)

>got recently medically diagnozed so can confirm I have no autism or ADHD
There is your problem

Remember the dumb sperg yesterday who posted about being "too underqualified" to pick up trash at the park?

Attached: 1399310870589.gif (346x360, 194K)

Sounds like you have very bad social skills.

>keep failing coding tests
so maybe don't fail retard?

Work on some actual projects that you can show off
Learn mobile development or web development instead of making stuff that interface solely through the terminal
Work on it for 6 months or until it's something you're proud of
That's how you show employers you have experience

write 2/3 programs and use them as your portfolio. if you manage to do that you'll pass both your coding tests and get a job. seriously..
>can't write code
>complains why he cant get a job where he needs to write code

Write some game on android. They aquire almost no effort and people pay a lot of money for in-game currency per month.

read this

Attached: c.jpg (379x499, 27K)

Lmao I'm brainlet af, don't even have a degree and managed to get a comfy code monkey job.

It's all about the confidence bro. I don't know shit about programming but I give a strong handshake and look the interviewer in the eye, and they were begging to have me.

Isn't a strong handshake kind of rude? I always give a neutral one, looking into their eyes is essential though

>>still keep failing coding tests
Post test.

Because you probably have
>At least got a B average
>At least one cert
>At least one thing in your portfolio no matter how meme tier
>Went to a school that actually taught you a useful programming language OR you learned a useful one while in school.
If you literally do 1% more than your average undergrad you can do anything.

+1

Man you just suck. You're not cut out for tech if this keeps happening to you. Give up and get a normie job.

You can always work at McDonalds or Amazon.

I figure you went to some crappy diploma mill.

They'd not have let us pass at my old uni if we couldn't program a bunch of languages okay and more.

OP here, it's stuff like
>how to print odd numbers backward from 150 to 50
That caught me off guard

>3.82 gpa
>erp with Oracle cert through college
>no portfolio but internship with professor that gives awesome reference
>claim to know java, c++, JavaScript, html, css
>dozen interviews
>no offers
Am I blacklisted or some shit? Do the Jews have me on their blacklist for being redpilled?
I'm not autistic or anything. Not great social skills but I can pull it together long enough for an hour long interview

Just wondering, which school are you studying CS at?

Attached: 9BEF4E36-7B7D-465A-AB26-9F176B595949.jpg (1278x1181, 231K)

I took an intro to programming with python class and I can do that right now, just set the range and have it step through with a negative number to hit all the odds lmao what is wrong with you

Hahaha holy shit you couldn't even manage that? No handshake can fix your inability to handle the most basic tasks. You're not a programmer and never will be. Start practicing selling us fries.

Hey OP faggot I pretty much had the same story, though I worked a dead-end job while applying everywhere. I got some job interviews and so on but those jobs didnt really materialize.

Now five years later I'm in top 1% income bracket in my country and have an actual career along with a wife at home and a few kids. Well I'm not a sperg, that helps

for i in range(150, 50, -1):
if (i % 2 != 0):
print i

Took me 3 minutes. I could have done it faster in C++ but I'm trying to sharpen on my python skills at the moment.

Exactly what I would have done and my only programming experience is a single intro to programming class. OP is beyond fucked

You would have put parens around your if in python too? I don't think you'll be a good culture fit with our team.

How were your grades? Know professors well enough for letters of rec. ? Like research? Then you as good as in grad school, and can even get paid a pittance while doing such.

With a PhD you can get a cushy place at some shit tier school. Community colleges will even settle for an MS. Neither will pay as much as industry, but then there's little pressure either. I've seen tenured CS professors totally incompetent at teaching, with almost nothing for publications, at low tier schools.

The bottom line to getting hired is can you code? It sound like you can't since you don't have any existing code to display and you say you keep failing coding tests

>Do the Jews have me on their blacklist for being redpilled?

This is what I'm scared about. There is no way I'm not on dozens of lists by now.

>me in September
>looking for new remote job
>some promising places but rejected in the end
>after 2 months find a good job
>only sent out a total of 30 applications because I'm very picky
Having experience feels good

Attached: 5ca64ccdd0448d7a4edaffaea1a787f6.jpg (906x2042, 124K)

I'm actually more worried the government elected me to go on a shooting rampage to help push liberalism and thus the blacklisting. I won't give them the satisfaction though.

>3 minutes

>college dropout, I didn't even study in an IT field
>applied to one 1 after being miserably unhappy with my previous one
>wouldn't type out hello world in C without google even if my life depended on it
>apply for a job
>be honest about my non-existing skills and experience
>I know a bit of linux cause i'm neckbearding at home
>got the job

Attached: 1506154450801.png (470x470, 299K)

Seem to see this a lot.
>Imma go to college herp derp
>No one is hiring me!

Unless it's specific or you get lucky, good luck. People need to go into trade.

>People need to go into trade.
Good luck with the wrecked body, asbestos, and premature hobbled over old age. Not to mention union bullshit, obnoxious prole co-workers, and the extreme nepotism inherent in breaking into highly protectionist trades with the mentality of medieval guilds.

But hey, if all that sounds fun go for it.

What Uni, shit school?

State university. Accredited for engineering but I got a business degree. So not a shit school

Tell me your story user, what is it you do?

Attached: The fact of the matter is.jpg (1280x640, 152K)

This. Go to church, that's how I got my first 2 programming jobs.

You seriously didn’t learn shit in your CS degree.

Earned a diploma in electrical at a community college, taking one class in C programming.
Got offers from the three engineering companies I applied for and worked a year as a C developer for a year.
Applied to another company and got a raise to 85k as a software developer writing C++ with no CS background.

This is so bad I'm skeptical that it's even the real OP. I'm not sure how you consider whatever you've been doing studying if you couldn't do something like this in half a dozen languages in less than five minutes.

I'm a year from getting my CPE degree and I could do that shit in high school.

>bragging on the internet

Attached: 0b4.jpg (453x576, 35K)

Getting upset won't get you any closer to getting a job, OP.

I'm just a stoned kid with high school diploma who just got a comfy sysadmin job, don't know who that OP is.

Is the highest ideal on Jow Forums becoming a corporate bugman?

>Doesnt have projects

Jesus christ this is literally day one stuff man. Look up a list of project ideas you can do, get a git hub and start making shit for the next month or two and apply.

Attached: It+is+okay+machine+spirit+you+may+rest+now+for+_ded0a90a6cce84621495f0f63ec231b9.jpg (480x502, 40K)

Make your thinly veiled insults if you want but being a wireman has more job security than being a soi-handed programmer.

If you graduated recently, call up your school and ask them to help find you job placement. Any university worth its salt will have a solid number of staff to assist students with finding work. It's in their best interest to find you a job as it helps boost their stats and makes them seem more prestigious.

Applying to online postings is the least effective way to find a job. Thousands of people spam their resumes and you have virtually zero chance of getting through the HR filter.

Finally, try applying to small companies. They are usually more desperate for technically-skilled people than the bigger corporations and are more willing to hire someone less skilled provided you are willing to learn.

>state school business degree
>looking for a developer position

sorry dude, you drew the short end of the stick

12 years actually

> lineman

How the fuck do you do that? If I was going to do a trade, I’d do that one. Anyone get fried that you know?

Study more with better learning resources. Move somewhere with a less competitive job market. Third world countries will hire anyone, especially if they're a white yank

>I probably have low IQ because I STILL can't clear the coding tests despite practising
Yes, you have a low IQ. What were you even thinking going into CS. You need to have an IQ of at least 130 if you want to make it past a junior position. You can't fake it until you make it when it comes to your brain.

You should have gone into shit shoveling down at the farm.

(doseq [num (reverse (range 50 150))]
(when (odd? num)
(println num)))

no degree here

You're literally a brainlet
for i in range(149, 50, -2):
print(i)

Fresh graduates are a seriously underutilised resource because everyone is too lazy to train them like they do in every other specific niche trade. Why are coders expected to learn everything themselves when other industries don't do that?

>if (i % 2 != 0):

Attached: 1524537149203.jpg (638x558, 64K)

Because there's a healthy number of fresh coders who are willing to invest personal time to learn things either due to seeking high compensation or personal interest in the field.

I really hope you are bating.

It would seem so. Why else would a post like have the sound of crickets in response, other than preaching to the stereotypical intellectual dullard CS major too dumb for calc? The highest aspiration here seems to be to use college as a vocational school (hint: it's not) to wagecuck like a good NPC slave.

this post is retarded on so many levels
>games require no effort
>android users pay for things
>obscure hello world game will get micro-transaction money
okay dude

>CE minor
>basic grasp of coding
>bullshit my way into a good paying job
ez life lmao

Attached: 1530291773026_0.gif (500x493, 631K)

dropped out of college and currently a neet living with my parents
life's good
probably gonna hold off gettin a job until they threaten to throw me out LOL

last time I had trouble getting a dev job was because I was out of work for a year. honestly complete retards get dev jobs for base wage.... best fucking advice: show complete fucking enthusiasm during interviews, not desparate for job but show a fucking interest in their business, write a follow up covering what they told you and say it's your dream to work on it and you'll get a callback

Probably, most companies don't want a schizoid sperg that eats up everything Jow Forums or some other right wing propaganda mouthpiece spews.

[i for i in reversed(range(50,150)) if i%2!=0]

...30 seconds and I'm a 2nd yr Physics student. Wtf OP.

I've been applying to tech internships too and the technical assessments I've got have actually been kinda difficult. I *wish* they were anything like that.

What's wrong with what OP has said? He's functional enough to type a response. Nazi Germany had a zero percent employment rate. It's clearly not his fault the government is so shit that there's no jobs for him for having very mild - mild enough to fail an official diagnosis.

I can’t understand how the fuck you can have a 3.8 gpa and aren’t able to print off numbers backwards.
At my school we were building radix trees in our first year. You have to be joking here.

In C by the way. For context.
Printing odd numbers backward is like 2nd class of programming in high school level.

for having mild aspergers *

LOL at my company we get 5000€ if we manage to find a new (fresh out of college) programmer for our team. Everyone's desperately looking for programmers.

OP must be a full spectrum autist

Seriously, get a grip, dude

ultimate python fizzbuzz, unmatched in intuition and prowess
[a for a in map(lambda x: 'fizz' if not(x % 3) else 'buzz' if not(x % 5) else x), range(1, 100)]

Is this true?
Where are you?
I’ve been looking for jobs online. I take the online tests they give and frequently get 100% on them and they still don’t even give me an interview (I guess tons of people do well on them to and they just compare resumes). Any job that is paying less than ~80k I’m not willing to take however, I’m out of college this year making $50/hr but I hate this job and the hours are only about 5 a day.

>have to commute 1h twice a day
>after taxes and all costs I end up with less than a cashier at a supermarket
>no money, no time for social life, always tired
>fuck this, use my last savings on udacity basic android course, I used play with html 10 years ago, this can't be too hard
>it's actually not hard

Life gets better if you put effort.

Or alternatively do the range backwards, it's probably better here. So

[x for x in range(150,49,-1) if x%2]

... I started coding school 3 months ago. After 2 months i was taking quality gate to move from python to java. And after 2 months in python even i can write shit like that in 1 line using lambda. If stuff like this gives you trouble i suggest you start learning from scratch, seriously.

You do both realize that you are mathlets, right?
No need for list comprehension or if.

range(149,50,-2)

btfo

>returning a range object

>print(range(149,50,-2))

That doesn't print the contents, you need to turn it into a list first

GIVE SEMPAI YOUR LUNCH MONEY BITCH

>hired. healthcare and benefits, decent environment, solid company, intense work and almost decent pay.

how the fuck can you even fail 126 attempts and get rejected at even unpaid internships? I'm asocial and with adhd, still can wear a mask and make a good impression for 8-9 hours a day. Work on yourself OP.

{x where x mod 2}[reverse 50+til 101]

I'm still a Qlet so this is probably a shitty way to do it, but it werx for the moment

It does return a list object and it prints the contents?
