On the contrary, I found the surrogate activity paragraphs insightful, and a highlight of his manifesto. I run Windows on my primary machine because it's zero effort, I run Linux on other machines because it just works there and I'm using them for different things than my main machine
most of my issues against Windows are how stupid Windows 10 is (windows update has been garbage for nearly 20 years now and it's got forced update, that's a real good mixture, windows 10's new "modern" application style fucking blows, things like that)
all I want is something comfortable that works, and Linux distros largely provide more of that as time goes on while Windows provides less (see the whole GNOME 3 and systemd fiascos for major exceptions)

Linux runs on almost all computers. Windows only has the desktop PC market and some servers.
on windows you just have to search 'mouse' in the start menu and the setting is right there. on linux you have to read the docs for half an hour and maybe find an answer to your issue, or maybe not. linux is clearly inferior in that regard
