Literally the first thing I see when I open bitchute is 4-6 Jow Forums related videos. No one cares about politics, no one cares about Jow Forums memes more. I am by no means some retarded sjw or left-wing but goddamn... you have to be some special kind of autist to think that you'd get any money from a website like this. Granted, I'll point out a few things I like about the website: 1 - There's a section menu, so even if the main page is filled with political content, you can pick from a range of other content related to things like anime, video games, education etc... BUT, that sections menu is hidden unless you click it! how does bitchute expect to gather a noob userbase without making things noob-friendly?
2 - There's a recommended channels section on the website interface which is great for promoting channels BUT, ALMOST ALL OF THEM ARE POLITICALLY-RELATED CHANNELS, THE WEBSITE IS PRETTY MUCH Jow Forums / Jow ForumsTheDonald fuck... it's so fucking unbalanced. Not everyone is interested in such content.
3 - There's a section for popular videos and content from your subscriptions list. But guess what? it is entirely filled with what I already mentioned. I mean, how difficult would it be for them to make it so at all times there's like 1 popular video of each category as well as channels (eg: 1 video/channel on trending/recommendations about anime, 1 about video games etc...).
And now that they fucked up, there's no going back, the website has already left it's first impression and a ton of people are probably not interested in it now. Nice job Bitchute, you just lost a ton of potential incoming userbase.
There won't be a YT replacement until alternative platforms aren't filled with Jow Forumstards spamming shit no one cares about on it. Fuck, Twitch became popular and for a long time it used flash and didn't support the latest standards (1080p60, 4K... desu I think it doesn't even support 4K yet, I'm not sure). People don't care about standards, they don't really care about watching 4k30 videos, heck, I'd even say 1080p30 is enough really, what people want is a platform where they can say what they want without being censored or demonetized. And that will never happen. Why? because people are dumb, and because almost all these other platforms are spammed with Jow Forumstard content that scares dumb fucks away.

Problem is they immediately FLOOD the services until the service gets caught by the mainstream and the server host or domain register or whatever shuts it down because of the Jow Forumstards infesting everything. It's okay to have things in proportion but these retards always flood every new competitor and no one else even has a chance to get settled in. At this point i'm convinced Jow Forumstards are actually just a bunch of paid opposition mooks who are paid to take over new platforms and give the public a reason to kill it, just like how back in late 00s and early 10s new image hosts would get flooded with CP and they couldn't moderate it quick enough so they would quietly die off rather than deal with the police. It doesn't help that a good portion of them post the most harebrained bullshit like flat earth and fake moonlanding conspiracies, it's ridiculous, they can't be real people.

i'd like to leave youtube for a site that supports live streaming where users can rewind at-will and has automatic archiving for the uploader, but without compressing the fuck out of video that's why someplace besides youtube would be nice, their compression has gotten too aggressive and any streamed video with poor saturation looks like absolute garbage unless it's one of the days where they're using higher quality compression
