>What VPN do you use
Other people's computers.
>and why?
Because they leave their TS/SSH/whatever ports open. Faggots are begging for it.

>what VPN do you use
My own.
>and why?
I don't trust anyone else with my data

why cant we go back
;_;

Why would you need a VPN? Are you hiding something?

Just encrypt your traffic faggot

>that shitty xp-like theme

That's what running a self-hosted VPN is for

>mullvad
>not ran by cianiggers

I connect back to my own VPN when using my phone out in places where I am on mobile data. I engage one I have rolled in a VPS when I need to create a burner FB page.

> Still believing the VPN meme
Just

> VPN traffic back to IP identified as yourself, defeating the entire purpose

Just

It's enough to stop basic trackers and to secure yourself on unencrypted WiFi. Anyone who really wants to know who you are will need to harrass your VPS provider.

fpbp

tinc with 2 public meta nodes when I need performance and reliability,
OpenVPN with TCP on my main server when I still want a device to be reachable but not destroy its battery life (really useful for always-on VPNs on Android).
>implying there's a reliable way to get bidirectionally initializable connections from anywhere without a VPN
>using a VPN solely as a proxy for outgoing connections
wewlad

but you trust your VPN's ISP?

VPN can be theoretically independent from ISP

Can't be tied directly back to me unless they ask the VPS provider

so there's a way.

There's *always* a way. Even with a commercial VPN you aren't necessarily safe unless you trust your VPN. The exact same thing goes with self-hosting your own on a VPS

I need my own ISP.

but what if I want to pirate stuff without getting a little letter from my ISP saying "uh-uh-uh, that's a no-no."

Get a seedbox for $5 a month and download all the shit you want

its actually possible if you have a lot of time and a little bit of money

For some reason I completely fucking forgot seedboxes existed. It's like a hole in my memory what the fuck

Where and how?

For when randos are looking over your shoulder, they won't see all the l33t hax0r shit you're doing.
