admittedly, this is a bit moot since Windows from 95 takes more UI conventions from Apple's System 7 than anything else
it's deteriorated since then, but that's because MS hasn't put as nearly much time and effort as when they made the Windows 95 UI (which, as much of a System 7 clone as it is, at least went through proper user testing to make sure it was a good, usable clone and not some half-baked knockoff shit)
