it was proprietary
this happens to every large and popular proprietary program given enough time and money

Bloat

everything

These two, which eventually led to .

biglybt is better

Literally nothing.
>install utorrent
>cfw intercepts opencandy
>utorrent is installed, opencandy is skipped
>no malware on my PC
>keep using utorrent

Why the fuck doesn't it run on win7.

Bloat and ads. The moment they start to put ads in it, I ditched it.

They added bloatware.

Old ut is opencandy

It was proprietary freeware bullshit and it became largely irrelevant thanks to better bit torrent software like transmission and deluge

What bloat? It's around 1 mb

Filesize isn't a particularly useful measure of "bloat".

It got popular, got bought out and proceeded to get milked dry.

2.2.1 wasn't foss and got ruined. however it's still better than qstalledtorrent's current version (which i'm using currently).

Using outdated software is a brainlet move. There are inevitably going to be exploits discovered (if there haven't already).

rutorrent

I am using qbittorrent though. It was worded badly, probably.

why would you update software that doesn't need to be updated...

i thought Jow Forums was supposed to be a board where people knew about computers...

agreed.
It went from being a freeware hobby project to something to make money.
