You had the older version. There is a version with rivets you have to rip out the keyboard with your hands to destroy the rivets. It then requires glue to get it back on. You can't screw or replace the rivets. When you pull at the keyboard it cuts up your hands something fierce. I got like 4 wounds pulling it on my hands right now.

no. that's the actual procedure. There is no other way to do it. Older models have the rivets but when you pull them there are screw holes. though the newer ones don't even have that. You're just fucked. You could use pliers I guess but most people just pull them with some gloves. Even hardcore experts end up damaging their own hands doing this No lie.
