I bought one a week ago. It's literally the nicest laptop I've ever owned, with the nicest screen I've ever owned. The keyboard is great, and the track pad is the best I've used on a windows machine. Previous laptops I've owned have been a 2013 XPS 15,and a T430. Both are shit compared to my SL2
The CPU is actually pretty fast too. I got 600 something in cinebench r15 which is as much as my 3570k on my old desktop
I regret getting the blue one though so get the slicker black one. Costco has the SL2 on sale right now.

It's never too late to get a refund. I just sent mine back today to get 16GB of RAM instead of 8 (just to make sure). I hope there'll be another discount for January 1st.

I prefer the Zenbooks for that form factor. I assume the Surface books probably have some obscure hardware that prohibits use of GNU/Linux.

I know there's a 90 day return on the laptop through Costco but I honestly don't know if I'm assed enough to buy a black one and return the blue one. Only reason I got a blue one was because costco was OOS. Then the day I get it, it's back in stock.
The blue is growing on me, though. It looks a little better IRL.

It's pretty but I prefer a Thinkpad because I get to chuck it in my bag and not have to worry about breaking an expensive piece of hardware.
If I want something that looks slick, I'll get a Dell.
