What the most redpilled music player for linux Jow Forums?
Apparently this piece of shit has a Mac version but no linux

DeaDBeeF is very similar to fb2k but can run on loonix
mpd+ncmpcpp
I've tried setting it up but never succeeded at it so I resorted to cmus.
mpv
Linux players are all shit compared to foobar2000.
Audacious.
Fastest yet. Library update is almost instant.
Foobnix
Vlc, or whatever comes with the system
Cmus
iOS isn't Mac, brainlet. It's like saying it has a Linux version, because fb2k runs on Android.
>mpd+ncmpcpp
this
mpd+vimpc
lolno
wtf, rythmbox is blowing my mind and it isn't even mentioned, just how much more good can linux get?!
I switch between mpd+ncmpcpp and Cantata
>What the most redpilled music player for linux Jow Forums?
deadbeef
This. It isn't full of stupid shit, so it does the one job you want it to do. There's no podcast, visualizer, or media scraping bullshit going on to slow it down.
better than botnet2k or winamp
Audacious, as and said
It's quick in indexing and searching through 50k+ files, has a good amount of effects and can be expanded with LADSPA plugins and you can make it look like a WinAMP reskin
i use the latest version Clamentine. its ok
deadbeef is the best
>tfw there is no good linux dlna music player in the year 33+1985
kio-slave for banshee is dead for like 5 years
Rhythmbox ignores order
djmount uses fucking 4gigs of ram for mounting
Vlc only works while it ran, after restart every fucking file is shown as 12345.mp3
Fb2k with plugin is still best. It's a fucking gamestopper for me from switching from windows instead of muh photoshop or muh vidya.
I don't like it because I can't rebind the keys to pause and play with spacebar. So I either use audacious or deadbeef
This
cmus
>sidebar
>letters rotated 90 degrees
Fucking disgusting UI design
How are you that dumb? Start with the default config file, change a few directory paths, and systemctl --user enable mpd to start it.
>systemctl
You need to "touch ~/.config/mpd/{state, pid, sticker, database}" and create a new playlist directory, then update the database.
This
only the playlist and the root directory of all the other shit is required to exist.
cringe and bluepiled
Deadbeef.
>need 2 apps just to play music
lmao
>a music player that can't even display fucking album art without modding it.
>foobar
>botnet
Lol
graphical sound is bloat
well just change it :^)

Name ??
clementine
Like others in the thread have said, I use cmus. It's simple enough, no configuring anything needed.
f2k+ wine.
I'm still using wine because there isn't a linux player that can run winamp plugins (or has a god tier dsp like winampheritage com/plugin/izotope-ozone/79374). And bs2b. Nothing comes close to MusicBee's UX for managing your library (fuck using the CLI for that) or Foobar's customization.
I started reverse engineering ozone but gave up because there isn't even a good Qt player I want to make a plugin for.
Cantata
The foobar Mac version is garbage that seems to exist only so people would stop asking them to make one. I ended up just running it in Wine so I can have all of my autism settings and custom tabs.
I wonder why the music player daemon doesn't view images. It's a real mystery.
deadbeef is also a fine collection of annoying bugs and faults that causes it crash at any time
>suomi
what de fug!!?! :D perkele
>Using server/client to listen music
No wonder you guys are autistic
I use Chrome + google music
why do people still suck foobars dick when musicbee is better in every way
muh rice
Seems like a great setup if I could be bothered to configure it
>mpd on home server
>ncmpcpp on desktops and laptops
>Teräsbetoni
Nice one user, nice
It works.
You just dragndrop shit there and it plays every format you ever want (with plugins even more).
you just described VLC
Can vlc play sacd ISOs dsd layer?
>apparently this piece of shit has a Mac version
nah, it does basically nothing, even VLC is more feature complete than the mac version of foobar
>his music player has no variable playback speed, despite that being standard on every vinyl deck since the 20th century
good thing foobar works in wine
CMus is a simple CLI music player that pretty much just works.
The most bloated bloat that ever bloated. Fuck Clementine.
>building a soundsystem in wine on Trannux
Lollypop is pretty cool i think
>mopidy + ncmpcpp
No. Fuck YOU, pal.
>What the most redpilled music player for linux Jow Forums?
ogg123
>all of these shit music """players""" where you can't even properly click around in a song while playing
It's a shame there isn't a clone of WMP 12 for Linux, but oh well.
seb-apps.github.io
Yeah I have always just used wine and ran foobar.
