How do i redirect pages within apache itself? Lets say im running apache2 on linux and own a domain like 1234.test. I have a page at /var/www/html/page/* which means people who want to access it will have to write 1234.test/page/. I want apache to point users to /page/ by default (in other words 1234.test will access /page/ by default). How do i do that without redirecting? Do i have to edit something in the domains DNS records or can i do it inside apache?

no. you'd certainly do this with your webserver. DNS only handles everything before *.tld

Yes, mod_rewrite can do both internal redirections (changing the URL internally before apache tries to serve it) and external ones (where a 301/302 code does the redirection, and the browser makes another request to the new URL..).
