>interface
?

it's supposed to be keyboard driven and saves a lot of space. it's not for everyone. don't be stupid, uninstall it and install another de. please, we have enough shitty threads already.

you have to be 98% autistic to use i3

try dwm
interface isnt autistic

I pity you fags who don't get the motive behind the thing.

I only use it on laptops because the track pads are shit and it's lightweight so it doesn't use too much of my craptop's 4GB of RAM.

I'm 100% autistic and i use GNOME
Fight me

lets move the goal posts, how it compares to other tiling window manager?

Dwm is easier to use. You fiddle with window positioning less. Though in reality, unless you are using a toaster, the only real advantage to these minimal window managers is tiling.

to be edgy and show off to other autists on the internet

yeah, it only really makes sense if you don't have a mouse, or using the mouse sucks
that said, it loads instantly and is simple to extend, so it's pretty nice once you're used to it.

dude, it took me 1 week to get comfortable and 2 days to learn the default keybinds. It helps to print the graphic guides, thought

>having to compile every time you want to make a change into the program
>not autistic

kek

>dwm is easier

really? is the default config sane enough for common use? I don't program but I am used to vim keys and I have used i3 for half a year without problems.

I honestly didn't have to configure anything except change the default terminal. It actually uses hjkl, like vim for moving between windows and resizing by default instead of jkl; like i3. The only thing you really have to fool with is the status bar and there are plenty of plugins for that. Though you can write a bash script and have it executed in you .xinitrc. I would give it a spin. If you are using a debian based distro it should be in the repos. If you need to do any configuring you can just get the source code from apt and fiddle with it later. Most of the plugins are super easy to install from their website once you get the hang of how to patch.

why do you project?
i dont make much changes
just 4 changes

compiling takes 2 seconds.

kek

after those 4 changes, i never change anything

>is obnoxious try hard shit
Linux autists always pick the path of most resistance to feel a sense of accomplishment and control.

Normies cant into TWMs

>normalcuck-tier
>autistic

i3 is for ricer r/unixporn faggots. Use dwm.

Automate it so it compiles every time you modify config.h you absolute nigger.

>saves a lot of space
>everyone using it installs a patch that adds gaps that effectively waste space

This

this
also let me jerk off to your dwm desktop user ;)

you mean to feel a sense of refinement and self discipline? yes they do

>calling a clean and simple WM tryhard Shit

So just use Windows 8 with metro tiles, the ultimate "tryless" experience.

>use computer
>entire damn thing is obnoxious tryhard shit
Why not bang rocks together?

Use ryzen

>Why not bang rocks together?
Any recommendations?

I'm probably going to move this pc to artix or devuan ceres when I get the chance. Already pruned systemdicks and pulseniggers from my rice.
