If mines didn't have mismatched 1333 ram holding it back, it could reach 4ghz.

Nice setup, you should get a 6700k and see how high it can crank on the stock voltage

Thanks, I'd probably need to invest in an aftermarket cooler too if I did that because I'm using the stock one right now. Also, I'm considering replacing Windows 10 with 8.1, do you think this is a good idea? I found a Windows 8 installation DVD at Goodwill.

Why hasn't it shut itself down to prevent damage?

Speccy doesn't report temps properly. It usually idles around 30°C on the Wraith Spire.

Away during the holydays on this badboy.
Upgraded from a t4400, 2gb ram, old shitty 5400rpm hdd and some piece of shit wifi with 3 meter reach. New wifi is intel 5300, pretty damn good.

Really want to change the display, but not sure it's worth it on this old ass gpu.

1156 is so fucking comfy.

What cooling are you using? I have a x3470 ES that does 4.2ghz on water, and 3.8 - 4ghz on a good air cooler.
I switched to 1366 in my main a few years ago tho with a x5660 running 4.4ghz.

Wtf are you doing

Based X79 poster may not even be gaming with it, a Haswell HEDT chip like the 4930K and a 970 is very appropriate.

disgusting

That shit is damn near cutting edge because intel won't do any better than 14nm

This should fit that description exactly.

is this program safe?
the setup wizard installed chrome and avast with it, even using custom install and after double checking, I didn't try again so maybe it was just a clever anti pattern, but wtf anyway
also a version of ccleaner (same dev) was compromised not so long ago
is there an open source alternative for this pile of shit?

It's totally safe, user.

There should have been a portable version to download as well. I'm using that one.

I guess having it plugged into a GT640 in the second slot fucked it up before. Still wondering about the price I paid, though

Attached: speccy.png (591x471, 25K)

I sold something similar to a poorfag friend for 300€. i5 4460, 8GB RAM, 1680x1050 DVI monitor, a lot of fans I didn't need with an external controller for them so he could turn them off, slow or fast and then a 7970 3GB, but I will switch it with a 1060 6GB I have lying around. He is a good friend and I feel guilty for even charging him 300€ for that (the 1060 alone is like 200€). So 500$ sounds about OK if everything was included. You got a good system and the seller made some money.

no monitor and only the larger hdd

also in CAD, so €320

well, then that's pretty good. I guess your monitors were free? I only paid for the Asus and the 1440 monitors. You can find these kind of old monitors for like 10€ or so. I want to replace the 1366x768 for a 1680x1050 one and give it to the poorfag friend, but all I see are 1024 ones.

Not home so no speccy but
>i74790k
>GTX970
>zd7-hd3 mobo
>16gb ram
>some shitty LG monitor/tv
>couple of scavenged ssd's
>couple of old hdd's
I swear it was high end etc

Paid €15 for one, other one was given to me. Both from separate people

It actually was high end, 4790k and 970 was the killer combo at the time.

I suppose everything is outdated now. I'm actually looking for upgrades but nothing on the market right now makes me entirely happy with how my money would be spent, so I'm still waiting.

Thanks mr agent, I feel safe now

It's Mr. Special Agent. You're welcome!

That is totally decadent

>fx is hot!

>FX is reporting wrong temperatures in ASUS motherboards!
FTFY

Are those Yozora's thighs?

Thats cool n quiet being iffy, uh. FX chips idle at 30c on stock cooling and less on a big tower cooler.

If you get Hyper 212 or any $20 equivalent, you'd be able to BCLK overclock that i5-6500 to 4.4 Ghz.

>BUT MOM TOLD ME ITS A LOCKED CPU
Your mom is wrong. The skylake CPU can BCLK overclock. Using BCLK you have to manually set the ram speed to current value and then increase the voltage a bit. Intel disabled the feature with Kabylake CPU.

>RAM running at 1146mhz with those terrible timings
Wtf is that kit user? Holy shit?

some kingston DDR3 1333

Is your 6300's memory controller detecting it wierd? my FX-8350 can auto detect my kingston 1866 10-11-10-30.

I have no clue, I will take a look at it tomorrow, but last time I checked it detecting and set for its speed on the bios, I dont have that machine here so I cant check

Dope, just load up CPU-Z memory tab and see what the timings are, then input it manually or reset your bios back to default.

sup nerds

>ryzen

wait for Zen 2 and if it's a flop then wait for next intel shit and so on, or maybe just wait until DDR5 has two or three gens on his back

hmm

see
it's a VM.
only retards run Windows on bare metal.

wow you sure are a big brained chad user, can I suck your dick?

Do you passthrough discrete GPU for gayming?

im fine with that

Attached: Screenshot (47).png (1920x1080, 125K)

Not sure why it isn't detecting my RAM or GPU properly. It''s the Sapphire Vega 64 and 32 GB of G.Skill RAM DDR4-2166

Attached: file.png (1004x780, 68K)

1066mhz double data rate=2133MHz, you machine is working fine, speccy is reading the speed of the chips on the DIMM, but it's a dual in line memory module, 2133mhz effective.

Oh I see, that makes sense. Didn't know Speecy would display things like that. Also quite happy with switching from dual GTX 980s to the Vega even though she be loud.

Attached: 1331236756910s.jpg (101x101, 3K)

Yeah that fucked me up after I installed new parts for a friend, he replaced his old i3 with a 2600 and I couldn't figure out why it was not shutting down when it was supposedly over 100°C but hwinfo shows the correct temps
