Python. Java is for cucks, glow-in-the-darks, and pajeets.

this, but C++ over all those, and C over C++

No.

Fun stuff: Python
Enterprise pajeet stuff: Java

How about you use what is suitable for the task at hand? These replies above me read like none of you actually write software, rather, just sit on Jow Forums wishing that you did.

explain

Well I'm learning Python right now, but I'm curious about Java. What advantages does Java have over Python?

>What advantages does Java have over Python?
you get to shit in any street you want

This is the correct answer.

FORTRAN

You want a job? Java.
You want fun? Python.
You want to be a programmer? C/C++.

yo could you tune in a beginner lad into some good book to start on? Ty

What does a Java programmer do daily actually?

suck corporate dick because you would only ever learn Java to get a job

Java is great when you need high quality OOO features that can scale with developers. It's a great choice when you need something robust, with lots of support and libraries. Think of it almost like buying a vendor product, instead of making your own, but for languages.

Python is much more DIY, great for spinning something up fast.

The same as any other programmers? Fix bugs, develop new features, make current features better, faster.

Definitely Java

Eat curry

the only real answer: it depends. Data science/ML/AI? Python
Webdev? Python
Android? Java
Does performance matter? Java
More job opportunities? Java

>java isnt for the web
You have never had a professional developer job have you?

>working with Springshit
>on purpose
I'd rather be unemployed. And I love Java.

I've been primarily learning Java, and have a shit exam in January. It's nothing special but I'm not the world's best programmer either. It's a very anorakky kind of language compared to what I've seen of Python.

System.out.println("Hello world!");
VS
print "Hello world!";

Don't you dare do print statements in python without brackets!

Oops, I forgot while typing; was in the middle of a game so distractions ahoy!
