GOOD SOUND CARDS UNDER $100?

>still trying to put the i9 in the op
>on christmas
you really are a sad nigger arent you

I'm starting to realize that this build I'm planning might be bloated and over the top.

I realize I don't care much for VR and would much rather enjoy 1440 gaming.

pcpartpicker.com/user/DonnyFox/saved/2Mtccf

What can I shave off this? I plan to do video editing and 1440 or 1080P gaming.

>complaining about the i9
>not being a sad i-can't-say-that-or-your-jannie-friend will warn me again
Nice try

What 2080 do I buy /pcbg/? I assume the asus rog strix right?

>pls sir do the needful and buy intel

Attached: download.jpg (257x196, 10K)

How about not buying a $200 gpu for $900

Based.

Attached: 5D0108BBM8SH2_37.jpg (400x400, 18K)

usb headsets with sound comparable to sony mdr 7506?

no thanks

>200$ gpu
Ok now you're being ridiculous

>t. retarded gAyyMDrone

>yes nvidia make it more expensive, who cares if cut down 104 was $160
>im a consumerist cuck please abuse me nvidia

Attached: 1442104226871.png (480x640, 597K)

>imagine being so much of a newfag you dont know that cut down 104 gpus were $160

Attached: 2018-12-24_19-44-16.png (1741x202, 30K)

if you arent gonna answer my question please dont respond to my post

nah im being generous for Nvidia it was closer to $160, the 460 se was the cut down 104 die for Fermi and Turing cut down 104 is the 2080, just ask me how i know you are underage

I aswered it retard, make nvidia have reasonable prices again by not buying it you dumb sheep.

Nice one, idiot. Perhaps next you'll wonder why graphics cards require external power connectors now

you didnt answer my question, im buying a 2080 and would like to know which one to buy, i dont give a shit if you think its overpriced, thats not what i asked

I'm building a libre pc using the Asus kcma-d8. Was trying to decide between the opteron 4240 and 4284. Do the two extra cores of the 4284 allow the cpu to outperform the higher clock speed of the 4240?

imagine being so retarded you cant see that
>cut down 104 gpu 2010 cost: $160
>cut down 104 gpu 2018 cost: $900
And try to justify it with
>duh it has mot power pins its obviously not in nvidias lower mid range

>im buying a 2080
just know that that level of gpu costed $160 8 years ago and fags like you have been driving the prices up because you actual cucks will buy anything nvidia tells you to

again, i dont care about what you think, stop shitting up the thread

>gAyyyMDog being retarded
Cute.

Imagine being suprised that cutting edge tech costs more in 2018 than in 2010
Imagine being so stupid that you can't understand my comment about power requirements

Alright I feel retarded. I just got a Ryzen 2600X and I'm trying to overclock by changing the multiplier. I noticed that when you do this you lose the automatic frequency scaling. Is there no way to tell it to set a higher frequency ceiling instead of locking the frequency at 4ghz or whatever?

I know this is a noob question but before this I owned a locked Intel CPU for several years so I'm not up to speed on OCing this new shit.

>i don't care if in a consumerist cuck paying $900 for something worth $160
Don't come to Jow Forums expecting people to not call you retarded if you do something retarded, go to reddit if you want a safespace full of fags that will treat you like a retarded child

youre literally the ONLY person that calls people retarded for asking what 2080 to get, Ive been in these threads forever and no one gives a shit what graphics card you buy
stop shitting up the thread you retard, make your own nvidia hate thread if you have nvidia so much

>worth $160
Get out of your fantasy land, retard

nice argument still doesn't disprove that a cut down 104 costed $160 8 years ago

>cutting edge tech
its a cut down 104, full 104, cut down 102 and full 102 and full 100 are all above cut down 104 in nvidias product code name stack, its far from cutting edge

Because im the only person he that isn't retarded because its just you and some aspergered pajeet

>AMD fag ruins another /pcbg/
really getting tired of this episode /pcbg/

Attached: 4rewfd.jpg (1086x992, 73K)

if nvidia charged 160$ for a cut down 104 gpu in 2010 why is it now $900, do you have any reason as to what made it more expensive for nvidia to make it

Attached: 1508469255133.png (484x604, 332K)

I feel this is fine but I will have made a mistake somewhere there.
pcpartpicker.com/list/n3yDNQ

>Intel housefire
Yes you did make a mistake

Why do you AMDtards have to ruin these threads? This shit started because someone wanted a recommendation on what graphics card to buy, and you decided to go on an autistic tirade. Fuck off.

the 9700k really doesnt get hot if you have an actual good cpu cooler, i have an nhd15 and its always below 60 degrees at 5ghz

They don't get that hot. They are not AMD anymore.

>actual good cpu cooler
what a industrial chiller like toms has to use on a i9 in their review?

no, like an nhd15 or be quiet dark rock pro 4 or something like that as i said

>doesnt run hot

Attached: doesntrunhot.png (1327x1222, 69K)

>I plan to do video editing and 1440 or 1080P gaming
Get r5 2600/X

That was an i7 you double nigger.

Attached: 1517532168217.jpg (780x879, 585K)

Why did you put a housefire in the OP after 70+ threads with no complaints about the i9 not being there

Yeah, sure thing, user. I'm definitely the OP.

Sound Blaster 16

AMD CPUs are fine now. The only real housefire CPUs nowadays are the HEDT shit. The Piledriver days are behind us thankfully

>I love not being able to enjoy 1440p 144Hz

>somehow 100 mhz and logical threads make it hotter
How fucking retarded are you

>shill puts i9 in OP
>only one person in the thread rabidly defends it
just a (((coincidence))) im sure

Am I missing something or is that image calling the NH-D15 "closed loop cooling". At any rate everyone knows that CPU turns into an inferno if you do a 5ghz+ oc on it

But I wasn't defending the i9, retard, I was referring to the autism about the graphics card

Looks fine to me.

copy and paste mistake

>i love paying $900 for a $160 gpu

Not an AMD drone but I really hope Zen2 puts Intel in their place. Their inefficient inferno "muh single core performance" CPUs are overpriced.

the 8700k is realistically the only intel cpu you should buy tbqh senpai

>housefires are fine

>EOL shit with thermal jizz is all you should buy

Maybe he lives where it snows.

>plugging the front panel wires into the motherboard

Attached: frogsnake.ngsversion.1508266866310.adapt.1900.1.jpg (1900x2688, 458K)

>9700k
>housefire
ya the 9900k is for the 9700k is hardly any hotter than the 8700k
maybe if youre trying to heavily OC it with a 240mm rad or something

but* not for

Housefires are for insurance fraud not heating

>unironically shilling the i9-9900kotatsu in the OP

Attached: 1292289334489.jpg (480x535, 34K)

Ok look here you absolute faggot, you wanna argue like this? Everything only has as much value as we attribute it, technically that 900$ gpu is as worthless as a pile of shit, nothing has intrinsic value and our monetary system is a perversion of nature.
Now what?

>blocks your path

Attached: 51vk1LFtcRL._SX466_.jpg (466x387, 27K)

>hardly any hotter than the 8700k
>lightning is hardly any hotter than the surface of the sun

Oh, I don't know, perhaps the fact that it's on 12nm and the FACT that the 2070 has 20x the number of transistors as the 470 did
By that logic, the 2070 should be 160 x 20 = $3000, not counting inflation
Fucking retard, you have no clue

wow, i thought you were seriously retarded but were only trolling, ive ran machines with both the 8700k and 9700k and if you wish to push it to 4.9-5ghz, the cooler you use to push it there will always keep it under 65 degrees unless you live in the middle africa
just because you spout "le housefire xD" doesnt actually make it true

Can you fucks who are derailing the thread fuck off? Holy shit

Attached: Screen Shot 2018-12-24 at 7.29.00 PM.png (218x76, 4K)

Are i5 8600k and 1070 Ti works great together?

that would be an argument if nvidia wasn't already charging $160 for a 104 gpu when AMD was better than them and decided to take recent events as an excuse charge more, screencap this the 3080 is most likely going to be a $1200 106 gpu because fags like you didnt tell nvidia no

>intel
enjoy the housefire

the i5 doesnt work at all its shit

>all Intel CPUs are housefires
Fuck off already, AyyMDipshit.
>i5

They're mad someone different made the OP

Of course they work, but the i5 8600K is not recommended on a price/performance basis

works on my machine ;)

It great for gaming. It on par with i7 in games.
Don't listen to AMD shills and i7 fags who only bought 7, because it's higher number therefore it must be better.

>90c on water isnt hot

Attached: aHR0cDovL21lZGlhLmJlc3RvZm1pY3JvLmNvbS9DL0IvODA1MjU5L29yaWdpbmFsL2ltYWdlMDAzLnBuZw==.png (1389x833, 66K)

what cpu is this graph showing? post link

>im retarded
ftfy

well if you are retarded thats fine user but please keep it to yourself

Would you mind giving context for that graph? Which CPU?

i9 9900k

>using all four limbs to get the back panel re-attached because of fat ass braided cables

Attached: ปลาเปคู_(Pacu).jpg (470x300, 19K)

nice esl pajeet

the post you posted that graph to was specifically saying that not ALL intel cpus (specifically the i5 that the post above was thinking about) run hot, we all know the 9900k runs hot

Which we all know is a housefire. You claim that all Intel CPUs are like that though.

>rajesh come down here and open presents with us
>NO MOM I HAVE TO DEFEND INTEL ON Jow Forums

Attached: POOINTHECPOO.jpg (709x520, 52K)

they are

Attached: aHR0cDovL21lZGlhLmJlc3RvZm1pY3JvLmNvbS9PLzUvNzY1NTA5L29yaWdpbmFsL2ltYWdlMDA4LnBuZw==.png (712x1441, 158K)

now post a graph about temps and not power consumption

>amd hyperthreaded 8 core is more efficient than a shitty pentium dual core
Intelfags will defend this

Attached: 1494886290711.png (633x900, 162K)

What a fucking terrible /pcbg/, I guess Ill save me question for the next one

Attached: iuijhnjoiklm.jpg (400x400, 27K)

>posts power consumption while arguing about temps
They aren't sending their best.

So explain how with shitty thermal jizz and higher power consumption the intel cpus will perform better thermally than AMD, you are on delusional shill.
>POWER CONSUMPTION DOESNT MATTER
the memes are real

fucking hell lads I think I've done it, and it only took five hours

I put the cooler on the wrong way round so took it off and put it back on and the paste was all smeared and shit, is that going to be okay? I thought there was supposed to be a plastic thing you peeled off to reveal the paste but the wraith stealth cooler just goes commando so I got gunk all over my fingers trying to peel that.

Attached: 2018build2.jpg (2592x1728, 2.23M)

Take a guess why computer parts have high temps
