>FreeBSD RULEZ
neat
>Bare Linux BAD
what about my favorite and therefor subjectively objectively the best: fedora?

>Fedora
See "CentOS"

Lamer.

Kek

Tl;dr
Windows is behind in a majority of the benchmarks (slightly better on WSL)
CentOS and Ubuntu are leading in most benchmarks
FreeBSD is competitive with Linux, but falls in benchmarks that fork a bunch

>Ubuntu
>leading
You meant Winblows with Ubuntu wrapper

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

>For those interested in the Intel Core/Xeon performance with Windows Server 2019 against Linux, those results will be coming in the days ahead -- this level of testing is quite time consuming.

Nice

why windows is so slow?
what are the pajeets doing?

>After "patches" and """""mitigations"""""
What a shitshow that'll be.

clogging it with shit

Windows is absolute crap.
FreeBSD is total crap (except for default ZFS), but not as bad as Windows.
Linux is great, some distros can be particularly good at specific things.

Nice try, Linus.

What I get from this is to install OpenSUSE

>FreeBSD RULEZ
>2nd to last

>phoronix
Finally you're getting to something that matters.

>no gentoo
>no arch
phoronix is shit

nobody dare to touch legacy codes from 90s that no one alive know the purpose anymore

>OS with no software boots faster than OS with software
>NOOO MY ASTRAL SOUL

>it's all l00nix

>being this mad becasue your vydia and ad ridden OS is an unoptimised mess

The mainstream user doesn't care about those fringe distros.

>with WSL the Windows performance managed to match the Linux distributions
lol
LOL
the current state of linux

hello /v/

Why no ffmpeg?

All that this proves is that Linux is better at running programs as a compatibility layer than Windows is at running its own native software. Lol, the current state of Winshit.

Can we all agree that phoronix is the last remaining "tech" site that isn't pozzed to the brim with progressive shit and only has articles about shit that's actually relevant to the fucking topic of the website?

TechReport is still fine too. Not perfect, but fine.

this lmao

>drop by Phoronix
>see Michael is hard at work
>go back over time
>Michael post
>Michael post

>go back fucking YEARS
>Michael post
>Michael post
>Michael post

God damn, does this guy have no life at all aside from writing articles 24-fucking-7 for his website? I mean I'm grateful that someone has that kind of stamina but geezus, dude, take a fucking vacation now and again, holy shit he pumps out article after article and it never ends.

>compatibility layer
That's all Winblows is even for "native" applications

>not comparing against a custom Linux kernel
