Currently have a Moto Z1 and battery is absolute horseshit.
Want a new phone, interested in the mix 3 and v30. Waiting for the mix to be released in Europe (I'm German)
Mix for style points and the v30 for build quality and possibly good dac.
Basically all I want is absolutely no notch, OLED screen for reading in the dark, non shit battery and volte and wifi call.
Are there any phones I should consider besides maybe samsung? Thanks for any help

Should I buy a G6 Plus?

Yes, fuck this notch trend and all the faggots apple wannabes

No, buy chinkshit instead

>I'm looking for a new phone and as I look at all of your resources I'm occasionally seeing people talk about phones not working in the Sprint carrier even if they should be compatible looking at the bands, , but I can't find any decent explanation of this. Specifically, I'm looking into a Nokia 7.1 or a Pocophone at the moment.
Sprint operates a device whitelist. Only phones approved by them can connect to their network. That's why some phones would not work with Sprint, even if it supported the right bands. Neither Pocophone or Nokia 7.1 is compatible with Sprint.

Here is a decent deal for a phone compatible with Sprint, LG G7 for $167 ($7 paid monthly over 24 months):

Looks like there's ROMs like LineageOS and ResurrectionRemix available for it:

reposting from last thread
I'm coming off of a phone that bootlooped on me (not lg), and the next phone I'm looking at is LG, do they have their quality control under control now? If I get a V30, 35, or 40, I should expect it to at least last me 2 1/2 years if I don't treat it like a retard, right?
Also a little curious about ram management with the 35 and 40.

getting a phone tomorrow

budget = around $200
size = 6"+
features = decent camera(back and front), decent performance(not gayming).

im looking into the xiameme RN6 pro and Mi 8 lite

Can anyone recommend a keyboard app? tried Swiftkey for a while but I'm not satisfied

RN6P for the headphone jack and a bigger battery.

Boxing Day/Week is almost here and I want to get a phone that isn't a total piece of shit like the prepaid garbage I use now.

How is the Samsung Galaxy A8? Budget is 300$.

I need a new phone on a budget, what should I get?
>Country: Australia
>Carrier:idk
>Features: good battery life, ability to play some games and browse Jow Forums without being dog shit.
>Budget: $500 - $550 AUD
>Size: Don't care as long as it isn't tiny.

Pocophone

...

In the market for a new phone.
Budget would be around 200-250, maybe 300 USD.
Main desire for the phone is reliable GPS so I don't get lost driving.
I use phone cameras sparingly, but would miss it if it was total shit or gone.
I would want a 3.5 jack.
Design wise, as long as the phone comes in black I'm fine.

Would the Pocophone work with Sprint?

Which carrier?

No

what is a good quality phone case brand that's not like otterbox or life proof

Verizon, unfortunately.
Was looking at the Moto G6, but then saw that a 7 was coming sometime soon so I dunno.

I bought a z2 force several months ago for $300 unlocked

A few suggestions:
bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1449873-REG/moto_pa8s0024us_moto_x4_android_one.html

frys.com/product/9503242

More for me to consider.
Thanks.

Is there even a good phone in that price range that works with Sprint? Ideally one that I could one day take off this shit carrier?

Check this deal Sprint has on the LG G7

>finally manage to get myself note 9 for Christmas
>five years since I've been away from samshit
>still touchjizz filled with bloat trash
>useless Bixby
>literally who apps asking for all kinds of permissions
>cant uninstall any of them, even Microshit apps like Word or Excel are hard-installed
Wtf Samsung this is not 2012 anymore

Looking for a new phone,
I definitely want a headphone jack, a micro ssd card slot, and water proofing.
I'll be using Verizon (only carrier with good service out here in the middle of nowhere) as my carrier in the US,
Preferably under 1k.

I've been looking at the pixel 3xl, note 9, s9+, and other phablet size phones.

The pixel is mostly out because no sd slot. But like the idea of the good camera.

I hate bloatware. So I'd like an unlocked phone.

Should I update my phone? It's a Mate SE and I think it's still on 7.0 or something. I am planning to root it and whatnot whenever I get the chance to.

what ist the thinkpad of smartphones? i like utilitarian devices. i hate touch screens. i got a blackberry keyone a couple months ago because of the physical keyboard. but besides typing i still have to use the touchscreen for everathing else. is there a good smartphone with a physical trackpad?

How old are you?

27. why?

I bought a Moto Z2 Force for $99 a week ago and I am enjoying the speed and premium feel of this phone immensely. Moto actions are also god-tier. Why haven't other manufacturers implemented them?

>Why haven't other manufacturers implemented them?
Xiaomi has something very similar, though mostly for different features.

Pretty sure you can't root Huawei phones anymore

Bought the e5 play/Supra about 4 days ago.. works good, and yeah the Moto action for the flashlight is super nice to have. Also the fingerprint reader works good and the speed is nice. Before this I used ZTE only

1 button nav is a god-send. Works just as good as on screen buttons and you save screen space for other things.

Has anyone tried rooting Shamsung phones? I got a S7 laying around here from my brother and seemed like a waste on stock.

Any Redmi Note 5 user here? Which ROM should I flash?

>moto also fell for the notch meme
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Is Sony next?

NO GOOD PHONES AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Can anyone recommend me a good phone for 400-900 I am tired of this pixel. The battery lasts only 2 hours.

Jesus.......

Any lineage with latest vendor firnware

>Chinese brand smartphone
Enjoy the botnet, retard

You can. Just have to pay for a service.

Should I buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A?
I'll just use it for everyday stuff and probably idolshit

Bought it last week. No regrets

How to tell if Xiaomi phone is global rom or global version? Just wanted to be sure in case the seller lied to me and it's actually the former.

So who got new phones for Christmas?

Spigen gets good reviews, so I got one and it's pretty good. Low price and large variety.

Wait until your warranty period expires and install a custom ROM to solve all of your issues.

>all Chinese phones are locked down Huaweis
>what are custom ROMs and microG

I was gonna get the Mi 8 SE until I saw this sexy beast. Gonna wait until January for it to release

Guys I want to get an iPhone 7 to be /fa/ I don't like being looked down on in society for having an Android
Will I regret this decision

Apple products are no longer high-status fashion accessories.

Attached: 1545719510354.png (780x726, 419K)

If i get the redmi note 6 over the 5 will the ROMs and developers migrate there?

I want a bunch of neato nerd support like the 5 has but I want that cool new camera on the 6 and it's not that much more $

>Apple products are no longer high-status fashion accessories.
Most women in their 20s will look down on you if you are texting from an android phone, even if subconsciously and they are not bitches

>Mate 20 Pro

Convince me to not buy it

What's the best rom for Pocophone that has everything working as intended and not bugged to hell?

Chinese version has Chinese on the retail box, global version has English. Pic related is the Chinese version.

Attached: xiami-redmi-note-5-18.jpg (600x399, 139K)

Got the newest version of Android on my OP5T.

I thought those chinks would abandon the older phones so that you get their newest phones.
Chinks you're my greatest ally.

Attached: staum.png (214x271, 40K)

I asked this a few days ago but didn't have time to check for answers.
Should I get a s9 for 25% which goes for about 650€? I heard the battery life isn't as good but I'm not a very heavy user

>getting a locked down Huawei with a display dot
It's still a new device, don't expect many custom ROMs just yet. I don't think you'll regret buying a Redmi Note 5 at all.

So I bought a Samsung S8, 2 months later it's already scuffed af, dropped it a couple times and after the first time the front screen was broken and the glass panel on the back is as well.
The front camera, face recognition etc is totally fucked. Other than that it still works but my OCD triggers the hell out of me. Fuck Samsung, my iPhones used to drop more often and never broke.
Ok, so I'm looking for something new, preferably something from China, I really like Xiaoki aesthetics. What to get, what's the best they've got?
I'm also ready to get a case and screen protector this time although I really hate that kind of stuff.
Not opting back to Apple though, not an option, fuck them just as much as Samsung.

Why the hell not, go for it.

This post was made by the Xiaomi gang

Consider the Xiamoi Mi Mix 3 or 8 Pro.

Get 6T or wait for OP7?

Attached: 1545807239961.jpg (861x1153, 134K)

I'm using fleksy but only because the keys turn pretty colours when I touch them.
Otherwise has some nice customization.

I got an android problem.
My smartphone is draining about 990mA but it says that what drains the most is the screen.
Sometimes in 30 minutes drains 40% if the battery.
Do you guys can give me any advice?
My android is Samsung j5 2016.

Get a new battery lol

there could be other alternatives for that price range, i'm not really into smartphone market

only in burger land

Dudes, I need a small phone. Right now I have an iPhone 5S and it's a bit too large for me, something the size of an iphone 4 and older(115x58mm) would be ideal. No I'm not a handlet, I just dont like reaching with my thumb.

I fucking love my Moto X4. That is all.

Is 4GB ram enough in 2019?

Best ROM for redmi note 5?

Considering faster and more efficient processors will be releasing (SD855) 6gb would be a more adequate.

I'm currently using a Motorola Nexus 6 and while the performance is still mostly fine, the battery life is starting to crap out.
>Country: Canada
>Carrier: Videotron
>Features: best battery life possible, good screen, powerful enough to play Pokemon go
>Budget: up to $1000 CAD
>Size: something rough the same as a Nexus 6 give or take
I also travel often to Asia, so dual SIM might be nice

The curved part of the screen sucks. I much prefer the regular mate 20.

Jelly Pro

Is it possible to use actual GPS (not that cell tower shit from MicroG) on custom ROMs without Jewgle Play?

Attached: anime question 2.png (404x404, 118K)

Probably upgrading from a S7 Edge to a Note 9 tomorrow, can I expect the size difference to be jarring at all?

Absolutely

At first, then you get used to it.

So which is it. barely enough or good enough or more than enough?

My iPhone 7 Plus has been fine forever. Don’t cheap out and keep it cool not under a lot of sunlight for the battery sake and you should have one of the top phones out there

lineage+microg I'd say

can someone help me with my samsung note 8 camera
using either snap, insta or the camera app, the images I take look blurry
it feels like the shutter speed is way too low
I tried turning off hdr, reseting all settings, but nothing helped
when I'm shooting in pro mode and bumping up the shutter speed it's fine
I can't really take pictures like that

Good enough

Best ROM for the Redmi Note 6?

The SU package (for root) is optional in microg lineage, can I lkeave it for now and install it a later data? Or will that require a reset or something

Flash Magisk before booting your new ROM.

I still am using my Nexus 6p on Cricket, and i haven't had an issues yet with this one. My previous phone, which was also a 6p with smaller hard drive, was destroyed in an unfortunate accident about 7 months ago. that older phone was having serious issues with the battery dying at like, 20% etc. but so far nothing with the new phone.

why the fuck does the icloud activation lock only kick in after the phone is reset? what sort of useless design is this?

>sub 400€
>less than 75mm wide
>good display
>good battery
>snappy performance
>android
>no notch
>no rounded corners
What are my options?

>wh*te women
>not bitches
My black Android cock experienced the opposite.
