Asus motherboard power surge detected

weird.
I started up battlefield 5 for a few mins. Then this thing pop up.
I was doing alright before this, had over 50 hours in the game with no problem

Then this just show up.
Maybe i should buy a new power supply? (had my 600v power supply since 2013)

back when i was using gts670

UPDATE,
MY power supply is actually CX500.....back in the day haha

check for sensor readings in bios, if they are wrong your embedded controller is kill

This board is not for troubleshooting

but user, im just a game/v/. what "embedded controller is kill?"

i know, i ain't gonna fry my CPU or sink them in water.

Just pay for a quality power supply. Don't be a fucking brainlet and get a good one from EVGA or Corsair.

My pc has no problems regarding power.
i74790, GTX 770 Superclocked, 3 drives
550W PSU (CS550M)

i got a CW550

but i guess it's not good enough for my gts1080ti anymore

Voltlet. Get a 600W power supply

what should i get thiss time?
maybe a 850w?
if im were to upgrade my GPU to a 2080ti?

the reading looks alright

Damn your monitor sucks

this happened to me a few times with an asus board, seemed to be an isolated incident. don't replace it just yet.

Really makes me think

PSU is probably dying. I had this happen with one of my Asus motherboards too, I started monitoring PSU voltages under load and noticed the 3.3V line was dropping under 3V, so I replaced the PSU. The warning was correct.

You think getting a 850w psu would be a good choice for my pc down the road?

Buy seasonic next time

buy tn or va panel

No.
You can power a 2080ti + intel 8 coars housefire on a 600w

dann I’m not sure if the chad 850x will fit into my small size phantek enthoo evolv itx

650w focus plus/corsair rmx or similar. just get something decent and it'll last 10+ years. Should all be under 100 burgers.

Just out of curiosity, is seasonic still good?

>Maybe i should buy a new power supply?
no shit

>600v power supply
>600 volts

op no wonder you are having problems

>Mobo detecting surge
That's pretty fucking based, I'd replace that power supply, even if it doesn't fry the system, it's not stable

This, I bought a 750w for FX because memes and it's way too damn much for what I need even with a 7970.

>That combo
Nigger what the fuck are you doing

your PSU is trying to stop you from playing shit games

The answer for you is clear cut. Buy a new PSU. Unfortunately, I have a problem that could be PSU related but could also not be...

Two days ago, my PC started shutting off randomly at times while playing FEAR . Today it restarted at the desktop right after I messed with my GPU fan settings. Keep wondering if it's the PSU, or the new RAM I installed a week before. I already ran memtest twice and the only error I got was from the hammer test on the first run, but then it didn't happen again.

>battlefield 5
found your problem

I think your motherboard is actually trying to warn you about playing battlefield vagina.

I like my monitor like I like my Loonix: bleeding-edge

Freebleed with me, user.
