>Not sure what public trackers are all about? The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members
Remember the following: >Staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before. >This is a thread for educational purposes only. Don't offer or ask for invites. >Staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers.
tfw electricity is so expensive that a seedbox actually saves me money
Colton Phillips
Hey goys
What good CBT/ebook (pluralsight/CBT nuggets/Lynda/etc) private trackers are there? I've been using bitspyder for awhile but not many people filling requests and the search is awful
Also where do you guys go for application software? Open trackers are a minefield
Cameron Ross
>Also where do you guys go for application software General trackers usually. Sometimes RED. Depends on what it is.
cbt = computer based training You never heard of Lynda or Pluralsight?
Owen Price
how the fuck are we supposed to know some random abbreviation you throw at us you fucking shithead, it's even a common abbreviation for much more popular things and in your post you list other random shit in the same fucking sentence how the FUCK would anyone know what the fuck you're talking about
>That's what they are categorised as on every site I've been on. You mean the one site you're on that uses it? It's a retarded abbreviation and you're retarded for using it.
David Thompson
>It's a retarded abbreviation Lmao, it's a fucking industry wide abbreviation you fucking inbred neck-beard, damage control central.
? I just find it convenient overall. Don't have to worry about ever covering tracks (though private trackers should be fine anyway) and I can run plex on it and have that up 24/7 and share it with friends so I don't have them connect to my network.
>downloading shit you plan to only watch once nigga that's what streaming is for. Use superchillen
real hard ass autists like myself storage 10s of TBs on their server and share it with friends and family. I wouldnt download something in slightly better than Netflix quality if I wasnt justifying it by allowing it to get more than one view
Alexander Reyes
>that banding >jpg->png->jpg->png artifacting haram
Does myanonamouse have books in foreign languages? (French, Chinese, Japanese,...)
Easton James
Yeah but only about knitting and other craft arts
Easton Turner
Does my anonamouse have foreign language books? Bummer
Dominic Butler
>Bummer Sounds like you belong in their hug community. Hop on their irc and sign up. Their interview takes less time than it does to add that shit to hexchat.
Brody Lee
Will do!
Colton Cooper
>that's what streaming is for Streaming is downloading, in chunks, with the file removed at the end. I'd download high quality media and delete rather than stream low bitrate content. Either way I'm using up to ~50GB of bandwidth, why do I care if the file sits on a HD for a couple of weeks?
I am starting to wonder why this game matters anymore. I download more from deezloader than red. I don't have time to watch lots of movies: good usenet indexers has all the popular stuff from p2p. Same for tv. DDL and public sites are better for books. What's the point?
Samuel Cook
Yeah the more based /ptg/ tbf, less autism and more win
Whatever works for you. None of that applies to me except usenet because I have 10+ stolen paid usenet accounts. Torrent is far more convenient, has better information available before downloading something, and better retention of much older content. I mostly use it to locate rare scene shit nobody on torrents cares about.
Nathaniel Taylor
So what remuxes should I download to cross seed to big boy trackers? And are the different remuxes inherently worse
Ayden Bailey
Why do you care about bandwidth? You smell asian
William Walker
It's like an MMO, you get higher user ranks and join new trackers.
PTP has remuxes from Epsilon and Framestor, so PHD and BHD.
Lincoln Carter
He's saying he doesn't care about the bandwidth used, you illiterate shit stain.
Luke Brown
>So what remuxes should I download to cross seed to big boy trackers? And are the different remuxes inherently worse That's a tricky one. The ones with highest retention are the shitty ones on ptp. AHD's are not crossseedable. HDB has a first come first served policy too but they're usually Chinese like episolon. It's hard to find one that's going to be cross seedable consistently
If you're grabbing remuxes, you prob dont care about encodes. AHD has good retention on theirs as its archived. Not the widest selection but if I was going to stick to one it would be AHD. That said it's a waste of space and better to seed the bd as you can cross seed that
Carter Allen
Remuxes kinda suck.
Blake Hall
>I'd download high quality media How can you do that if you're not on HDB?
Luke Russell
Yeah PGS subtitles are boko haram
Benjamin Peterson
t hanks cant wait to wreck libtards
Ayden Harris
The invite I bought in invite 2009 still works. :^)
Aaron Long
>whOrpheus You're welcome!
Tyler Hughes
Also banding, dirty lines, etc don't get fixed. Sometimes what's on the disc is inferior to the encode.
Jaxson Harris
Yeah exactly, the same way 320 mp3 is better than flac. Less space wasted on a transcode from a fucking 90's CDROM
Josiah Ward
Why are epsilon remuxes worse? Is it just source selection or not naming chapters or not using eac3to
Aiden Scott
Epsilon members rub their wang all over the source.
Sebastian Richardson
Explain please
Jayden Hill
Is the only way to get an IPT invite pay or get it on MAM
Chase Moore
Jackie chan drops his pants and rolls his hips, out unfurls his monstrous wang, which he rubs all over the disc/iso/m2ts.
Anthony Walker
There are plenty of other sites with IPT invites. Just not good ones lmao.
Jordan Nguyen
Like what
