Used it for years and literally never had this problem.

It can only happen when you download files.

works on my machine

Try getting a torrent with seeds.

it works 99% of the time but it's the only torrent client that has ever stalled torrents for me. I'm not really even sure wtf a stalled torrent is, but it's annoying as fuck

I'm trying to download freddy got fingered...

>I'm not really even sure wtf a stalled torrent is
whew my lad
also just because other torrent clients don't use "stalled" for an error message doesn't mean people don't have issues downloading with them

Yayyy it's finally done. I just needed resties for a bit and a force resume. Thanks for your nohelp /g

transmission doesn't have this problem

"Stalled" just means stopped. It is currently not transferring data. That is all it means, error in torrents makes the whole line red and has something relevant there.

Its (not) shocking how few on Jow Forums know this.

Also dosn't help that utorrent fakes it's transfer numbers, when you go from a state of transferring to nothing, it does not tell you nothing is being sent, it just slowly decreases the download figure till it eventually hits zero after a long period even enough its not actually downloading anything during that time, and usually a new chuck will become available from another peer before it hits zero thus making it look like it never stopped.
Don't beleave? Turn off all memory and disk cashing, then watch the disk i/o of the application in something like Process Explorer.

Well, qbit also goes down slowly when the connection dies. it usually takes 5-15 seconds depending how fast it was transferring before.

Most anything that downloads (browsers, wget, torrents, etc, etc) does it as a way to average the representation of download rates over time, but while 5-20 seconds is a reasonable timeframe to average things, utorrent does so over several minutes, or at least did up to 3.0, haven't used it in years.

I'm going to get this meme killed once and for all.
github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/10059

> 0 repositories
> only contributes issues

They used to advertise here. they don't care about the meme and may even like it because it gives them exposure

>wtf is its problem
the mongoloids using it.
Stalled means no peer you dipshit

Works on my machineā„¢

It means qB can't connect to any peer. That doesn't mean there aren't any.
It's why qB is called STALLEDtorrent but uTorrent isn't called INACTIVEtorrent. uTorrent's great connectivity means that if a torrent's inactive it's because there are no peers to transfer to. qB will stall on torrents where better clients find peers.

I hope you get paid for defending this garbage that uses 200MB of ram to display "stalled" on a progress bar

See
Also bittorrent's protocol has queuing, all because there is peers/seeds in a swarm does not mean that you don't necessarily have to wait for one to become available for your to connect to. If there is only a few (5 or less) people in the swarm and most are peers then you're probably going to have frequent windows of not downloading, thats normal, its how ALL bittorrent clients work, utorrent just hides it.

and feeds

uTorrent's display behavior has nothing to do with why qB will sit there for hours showing no peers while uTorrent is already finished downloading.

>wtf is its problem
seemed bloated from the start

Literally never seen qBT do that. But if you want to live life by Jow Forums's retarded memes and install utorrent adware on your PC in stead, thats your thing dude.

Attached: Whatever.png (188x142, 5K)

You don't use it. So why do you care?

>Active (5)

Attached: Capture.png (148x114, 3K)

if i start it and have torrents from my NAS it crashed the internet, such bs

>using public trackers

Thats because I'm hopelessly trying to download several torrents with no seeders, or with seeders that seemingly only show up once a week or so.
The program is working exactly as it should.

Attached: you're_a_retard.png (460x297, 22K)

Really? Mine are all seeding. You know, exactly how a torrent client should.

Attached: Untitled.png (70x774, 8K)

If we're talking about seeding, I've got it capped at only 5 peers since I can only upload at a consistent 24/7 rate of 30 KB/s.
I set this, by default its like 50.
Again, the program is working exactly as it should, enjoy your phoning home adware.

Yikes.
This is what I imagine qbit users clients looking like.
Go ahead and post those links so I can BTFO you for all eternity.

It's how mine looked when Jow Forums memed me into trying it. It's what made me look into its performance, since the experience was so different than the smooth perfection that was uTorrent 2.2.1.

>seeders 0(50)
>stalled

post it

godtier Windows software

they don't allow you to have magnet links in here

Attached: beesinhere.png (1152x720, 633K)

I downloaded it just fine though, excluding the .txt files.
???

You don't have your ports forwarded or upnp is turned off on your router.
The yellow icon next to the DHT means that, it should be a green plug. If your don't have your ports forwarded then you wont be able to connect with other people who also don't have them forwarded. This is true for ALL BT clients.
USER
FUCKING
ERROR

tanks, i got it as well and have been waiting for months

Not that dude but modern routers don't need port forwarding to torrent

the last file might be fucked
lmao
Yes, upnp. Its been around for years.
But since it is a security vector many people turn it off and some devices (Comcast's modems) actually come with it turned off by default sometimes.

was qbittrorent really the problem here? Whats a good alternative

...they deleted the link. what's there to not understand? Maybe the arrested development reference but it's a pretty understandable quote even out of context. I swear you retards drink more paint every year

wew lad

Literally never had this problem. You must be using it wrong.

>they
the user

>no peer connections
That is incorrect, user. What if you are connected to peers, but they don't have 100% of the torrent?

Fuck off coochie

really makes u think

Obviously the devs know this and will implement proper error codes so their client won't be the laughing stock of the torrenting world.

>tfw your torrent client's performance is legendary

so far no. they wont, and I've been using qb since before it had the speed graph

>tfw your ""personality"" is so one-dimensional that people can recognise your banal, lifeless posting style on an anonymous imageboard

>smooth perfection that was uTorrent 2.2.1
>cant download in order
>cant use your torrent client as a movie streamer
that's a yikes from me

>he identifies with a torrent client and becomes animated about it

Never been an issue on other clients. Stay stalled, faggot.

>he doesn't know how to get to the secret menu

Attached: Untitled.png (667x496, 23K)

fucking 4.1.5 stalls even when the it says 100%

Attached: stalled.png (1115x25, 5K)

You mean, it can download torrents without trackers and seeders? Does it work like that "AI" program, that uncensors porn?

...
