Hello! I recently installed Mint on my computer and i have been having fun learning.
I'm currently trying to run a game trough wine but i can't figure out how i make wine also grab my savefile. (which is located in documents by default) Could anyone help me out?
hows solus holding up? worth using as an everyday distro yet? also, when did manjaro become the undisputed distro champ? ive been gone for too long i guess
Eli Bailey
No idea, but it's Arch without the Arch install bullshit, I think. It's the next logical step up from *Ubuntu or even Debian.

AFAIK wine makes a separate folder for saved games and other shit. check .wine folder
Gentoo makes it easy to reject certain features of a program and compile it for your architecture, which makes programs on Gentoo faster. That said, any distro that isn't complete retarded provides simple instructions to compile a program from source - which again results in the same speed gains of using Gentoo.
You must choose if you want to compile everything - then get Gentoo, of you are fine with the usual defaults, get any dusri and just compile pkgs you want to customize.

Luke Russell
Not that guy, but coincidentally i replaced my Wifi card with an Intel because it was better supported in Linux, even if it needs proprietary blobs. WiFi is just an all round propietary clusterfuck.
