>originally had an official installer
>autists come and decide to scrap it
Wew.
Originally had an official installer
To remove normalfags.
installing that shit isn't difficult, it's annoying
>normal people prefer manjaro
>NO you have to read the udev article REEEEEE
>libfontconfig articles
>xrandr
>xorg
>chmod +755
>no one cares just do it automatically for me thanks manjaro
>theres an arch wiki article on how to install a clipboard
>just write some lines of code and you can have a clock appear at the bottom of the screen
This is why CloverOS exists.
This. Copy and paste some commands. Arch is the opposite of a "learning experience "
99% of people using arch are just ignorant that there are better distros
>implying Arch is difficult to install
If you're that buttblasted, just install Manjaro and change the repos.
NO NO NO STOP IT YOU'RE SPOILING EVERYTHING
AIIIIEEEEEEE
Honestly, I only use Arch because it lets me avoid systemd (Artix), and still use most software.
Install Gentoo.
Which gets rids off normalfags since they lack the attention span required to complete the installation process
>>just write some lines of code and you can have a clock appear at the bottom of the screen
I want this code!
>there are better distros
>ubuntu/debian
yeah nah
they're crap and make bad use of hardware
>mpv works fine on arch
>mpv can barely play shit on ubuntu/debian
you can keep your crapware
is not annoying, is like doing a Debian net install or a slackware install.
>hurrr durr I don't know which codecs I need for playing files so just fuck my shit up
why are archtards so insufferable? They are not advanced users and yet they mock Ubuntu users(why?????), Ubuntu is the most similar distro to Arch unironically. But even Ubuntu has a clear separation between proprietary software and open source software.
I thought you autists hated Arch because it was gentoo for people who couldn't install the real thing.
>use diy distro
>I want it to just werkz
>codecs
you're using windows aren't you , i won't even bother to read the rest of your post
>Ubuntu is the most similar distro to Arch unironically
I bet you never wrote a single package on arch and ubuntu
The install is *unironically* pretty easy.
>I don't know what codecs are it must be a windows thing
>t. archtards
even Ubuntu is better than Arch since it is a bit reliable. Arch is by design untested and buggy.
>muh minimal terminal install
you are calling a script that mounts and installs the system after partitioning, woow so hackerman. You can do that on either Debian or red hat systems, actually both of them can be more minimal since they let you exclude dependencies and are better split.
>Using Arch when Fedora exists
Brainlets
write one package on debian, arch and gentoo
Yesterday I managed to install it. The best night of my life.
cleam the cum off your mouth you're barely making sense
I wrote it PLAYED LIKE SHIT - ie it was making bad use of the hardware, if it was a missing codec it wouldn't play at all stupid debian tard
this, their policy is the best when you want the newest software. Rolling releases are retarded, you never want to test git devs upstream for free.
Retard if a dev does that is not a good thing. I rather give a single installation on a folder on a tar ball so it can be installed on any system. It's fucking trivial to write a package on any system, like just read the docs. I get pissed when the upstream developer only gives either source or a package for a specific distribution with symlinks that only work on that system. That's up to the distro devs if they want to include the software on the package manager.
Rather the best thing to do is what Tor does, tar ball and auto updater. That way the user doesn't have to solve dependencies on any distro and it just works and has updates.
Also why would you like to know if I can do that? Just because you use arch? Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu devs all know their shit and they aren't here asking people from other distros if they know to package, script kiddie go home
To keep normalfags on their containment distro
>Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu
debian and ubuntu is the same thing
should have been
>Debian, Red Hat
do you read it as man-whore-o ?
Ubuntu takes sources from Debian testing and unstable just like Debian takes them from upstream.
i just hate that when i try to look up how to do something new in arch, there's always a guy in the replies saying "oh well you just click this button on the user interface you fucking retard"
ree
Do Archfags actually do anything with their computers other than make their desktop environment and terminals look pretty?
One of my Professors uses Arch on his Laptop.
share screencaps and color pallets.
I have arch and I mostly use my computer for computing things. I configured it once, after I installed it.
Professional writing. I don't need much. i3, emacs, vivaldi for browsing... that's it, pretty much.
I barely do anything else. Sometimes I'll launch steam to see if Mechwarrior is finally ported to Linux, but otherwise, no.
Mandingo personally and I'm using it right now so fuck all of you
>lets remove everything that makes arch linux arch linux
why are they attacking my sikrit club
I've been using Arch for just over a month and nothing has broken. Go back to r*ddit with these outdated memes.
>I've been using Arch for just over a month
>outdated memes
you know nothing kid
Lets be honest here, this is just another bait thread with low effort arguments, the main shilli argument revolves about the installing method, something that an arch user does like every 4 years or when installing it into a new computer.
>>lets remove everything that makes arch linux arch linux
Arch doesnt even do anything special though. Its a diet coke gentoo.
