Why does Jow Forums hate Ubuntu?
Why does Jow Forums hate Ubuntu?
it's not arch or gentoo and therefore has no appeal to autistic NEETs
Install Gentoo
Its a botnet user
Gnome is trash
It's weird how Gnome goes from worst DE to best DE when you add a taskbar
> Twitter
> Spotify
Get out.
It actually works
What does Ubuntu have that Linux Mint doesn't, besides the difference in DE?
nigger name.
Because g is a bunch of idiots
It's popular and it works: it's the rough equivalent of finding a wild pack of niggers raping your mom on the kitchen floor when she's meant to be making your tendies - and is met with the same response: impotent tantrum-throwing.
just use manjaro its like arch but for normies with kde which looks nice
They are the same
I own Microsoft and I use Ubuntu
(Checked)
I own RMS's mom and use macOS.
It's recommended by Steam. Therefore,
Ubuntu focuses on large icons and simplified UI that's easy to use. I don't really need that for my laptop but it would be great on a tablet or a phone. I would pay money for those.
bullshit. John Microsoft is my dad.
>functioning human?
REEEEE
It was
Now it's buggy thanks to gnome
The problem with gnome is not the lack of a taskbar.
They remove a feature with a bug in it and call it removing a bug.
They constantly simplify over making it better and it gets annoying.
kindly provide a Euro-friendly alternative.
Better support and less fucked up packages
Uses gnome
Buggy
Slow
Default software is horrible (Nautilus, Gedit, etc)
Used by Goolag (search Goobuntu)
Bloatware
They try centralizing this stuff with Ubuntu One.
Ubuntu is honestly embarrassing to Linux. New users usuallly go with Ubuntu and they get a incredibly counter-intuitive environment that scares away most people.
they try to gather information on you and sell it. you can turn it off if you know about it, but it's turned on by default.
also, i seriously doubt that telling it to not to has any effect.
ubuntu is spyware.
Based Billy
>New users usuallly go with Ubuntu and they get a incredibly counter-intuitive environment that scares away most people.
Is this a shitpost? I've never seen anyone get scared away from Linux by Ubuntu. It works like Windows. No one will get scared at it.
Archfags are more likely to scare people away, with their esoteric method of installing the system, and their user forums that start insulting you if you make a single misstep while installing.
because they are a bunch of teenagers who think they are too smart to use Ubuntu, myself included.
What...?
>>>"""functioning human"""
I used to love Ubuntu, but lately their desktop really is shit. Their Gnome is slow, sluggish, buggy and after a while the whole system becomes unstable. I guess that’s not that surprising since Canonical fired most of their desktop people and focuses on cloud instead.
Running Fedora now where Gnome is actually fast and snappy.
What makes you think that? It gets recommended all the time.
It doesn't because it still has terrible performance unless you have a dedicated GPU. It's unusable on most laptops.
Bad defaults and high resource usage. Q4OS defaults are nearly flawless and it uses like 350MB idle.
The nigger of distros. Even its name sounds niggerish.
Jow Forums hates anything that just werks for normies
>best DE
That is not Mate
Because Jow Forums thinks spending a week installing gentoo means you're being productive and faggots here want to be special.
subhuman detected
that's because the name is literally an african word
Same reason [racialminority(rnd(1000))] hate white people: more successful, better-looking, more desirable, more capable.
because:
>muh blacks
when in fact it is they (Jow Forums) who are the true niggers for thinking race has any meaning
I agree about Twitter, but what's wrong with Spotify?
OMG NORMIE
REEEEEEEEEE
BY TALKING LIKE A TARD
LIKE EVERY OTHER FAGGOT ON THIS BOARD
I DEMONSTRATE MY INDIVIDUALITY
AND NONMAINSTREAM OPINIONS
A-AINT THAT RIGHT BROS?
BROS?!
cause Jow Forums is mostly retarded teenagers that don't know shit about tech so they just repeat stuff like a bunch of brainwashed idiots
imagine shiptoasting this hard
Unironically the reason I hate Haskell
Because Jow Forums is a bunch of edgelords. Ubuntu is too mainstream. Also, it derives from nigger vocabulary, so there's that.
I like it. Still using Unity DE.
racism and ignorance
the building pillars of 4chin and the rules that govern it
What about Xubuntu? I dual booted on a pc I rarely use and it seems alright. I usually only use it for light browsing and kodi though
popular
You dislike Haskell because it's good and popular?
Jow Forums hates anything related to being a productive member of society, ubuntu is the most used linux os in workplaces because it just works
Yes. There are better functional languages but Haskell gets all the spotlights with Haskell-fags pretend it's the only one that exists.
wow, you're a salty boi.
Linux Mint Xfce fixes several Xubuntu issues. It's much better out of the box.
Alpine Linux
What functional languages do you think are better?
Which issues? Is it anything major? I mean I have no problem with doing the installing and whatnot, but I wouldn't do it anytime soon if the problems aren't too bad.
they using keylogging for amazon
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We enjoy hating things.
Much newer kernel ootb
It hates me.
Functional adults can use it.
Humanity
kubuntu 18.04 is pretty damn comfy
Screen tearing, super key not opening the menu, panel and theming being somewhat shit, better update/backup manager. A lot of small quality of life tweaks which make Mint much more polished when it comes to Xfce, especially by default. I pretty much consider it the flagship/standard Xfce distro.
mint is pretty much a reskinned ubuntu. the main difference is mint's cinnamon vm, that is comes with out-of-the-box multimedia support & the main dev of mint; clement lefebvre, is an outspoken opponent of israel.
Ubuntu (with Guhnome as DE) sucks, Kubuntu is great though
it's gnot bad actually
It is.
I hate it because it was supposed to be the "just werks" distro but when I installed it on my laptop it had several bugs that made it a pain to use. Meanwhile Arch hasn't given me a single problem.
Because of the default DE and the botnet. Xubuntu is pretty comfy, though, and it works as a daily driver for me.
how do i unbotnet it?
