More suffering.
More well-developed characters, seriously, so much anime now consists of some teenage dipshit with zero positive or interesting character traits, that inexplicably has a dozen hot girls following him around practically begging him to fuck them.
It's fine if people want that, but I wish people would confine it to porn, where it is blatant about being wish fulfillment, as opposed to trying to pass itself off as a story that can survive on its narrative alone.
That for me is the biggest problem with anime, the narratives in these stories are not interesting, I don't care what happens because the writers never convinced me that I should. They just start a story, shove exposition in your face, and then hope mildly well-animated fight scenes and speeches about friendship will be enough to hook an audience.
I guess it is a product of the nation it comes from, people in Japan are miserable with their work culture the way it is, so wish-fulfillment and escape to a fantasy world makes sense to be popular.
>Also not saying there aren't good anime, they are just exceedingly rare
Watched Sora yori mo Tooi Basho yet? Not saying that these girls are the most well written characters out there, but they are written much more human than most anime girls. Their interaction in particular comes off as pretty natural.
Stop the moeness and waifu bullshit
More moeness and waifu greatness and less shit*lians
season 2 when
