How much RAM do you have, anons? Do you have enough?

shitty memory speed ?
How am I doing?
16 GB here, not enough, I'll buy at least 128 GB when building a new pc (in about a year or two)
Did you buy it from Craigslist or eBay for less than $200?
12GB. It's more than enough.
16GB of DDR4-PC25600 Memory
16 GB DDR4-3200 MHz
I like my AMD rig but a Precision 690 with dual quad cores sounds dope.
16gb it is enough but 8 was not when i did haskell builds
32 gigs
More than enough
24gb and currently using 3.3gb
I got my 690 tower for free from work, then spent about $60 to put a couple of quad core Xeon E5345s and 32 GB RAM in it. Bought a couple of those 8TB WD EasyStores and shucked the Reds out of them too. I've got it running Proxmox to host my file servers and play around with other VMs.
Only downside is it needs a lot of room to breathe otherwise it'll turn the room into an oven.
more than 1TB
288GB DDR3 in one server
768GB DDR3 waiting to be installed in my new server
KYS mactoddler.
You too weeb.
512GB in each of my two dual Xeon machines
I split my kit of 4x8gb in half to put in my nas because ram was so stupid expensive, but never really noticed any difference afterwards so I never bothered getting more ram.
And ram getting even more expensive didn't help either.
It's a free hand me down, my only computer.
I have DDR4 8GB @ 3000MHz
Ram usage is sub 1GB most of the time
Never realy went over 5GB usage
For me 8GB is the sweetspot and 4GB is the bare minimum
15gb ddr3 1900mhz, in my main pc
windows by itself uses just over a gig, I dont restart my computer often and Im one of those fags that can end up with 5 chrome instances with 10 tabs each, at that point I usually end up using about 5-6gb with that, some games end up eating 8-10 so I think I have just the amount I need for a good long while
>Do you have enough?
Not really. My PC is 8 years old. Only 8GB of DDR3. Still doesn't prove to be much of an issue though.
>32gb
>ddr2
why
24 GB here. Yes, it's enough.
16GBs 3000MHz DDR4 in my main PC, 8GBs 1600MHz DDR3 in my laptop
8 gb, I'll add in another 8 when I need it.
same, adding another 8 right now
Does not matter
2 gigabytes
All I need
2 gigs of ram, currently using 300mb
16GB, currently it's more than enough for everything I do.
Hhahahahahaha look at this scrub trying to flex with his puny 32GB DDR2 . LOL is this 2008?
32, on my laptop
16gb, it seems like a sweet spot for my needs. That said I could do fine with 8gb.
16gb
Enough to run my VMs I guess.
5 ram. One in my PC, one in my phone, two in my kitchen and one on the TV.
16GB of DDR3, really not looking forward to upgrading.
still pretty solid for a 10 year old Mac
OK over here
w-w-what the fuck
the actual fuck?
16GB in my main machine, 8GB in server 1 working as a NAS, 20GB in server 2 I used for shits in college and 16GB in server 3 I plan to some day use for something
>tfw you got an uncommon number of 12gb ram
8/16/32gb ram is for normies
Ever heard of triple channel memory?...
Same here. I'll be upgrading it all in 2019 I think so bit of a waste to add more memory now.
It does the job for me.
+16GB in workstation/desktop, then 64GB in server#2. Most laptops are 8 or 16GB
i failed for the 8GB of ram meme
64GB of RAM isn't unheard of. He probably has a workstation.
only need 12 if you're a dev
I thought 8gb was enough until I played BOTW on CEMU and it was using up almost 9gb alone without taking into account Windows using 2GB or other programs open.
>windows
found the problem
no it was about the dwm window manager
i thought it was the good dwm and that user had it up and running somehow but then i remembered that the windows wm happens to share the same name and felt retarded
If you do any sort of multiprocessing, like video editing or compiling, you should aim to have at least 2GB per thread, sometimes more.
People saying 16GB is more than enough are merely gaymers who don't do anything serious.
try compiling LLVM from source, muh nigger
you need at least 32GB on an 8 core system
16tb
Still uncommon
why does chrome use so much ram? in 2006 my computer had 512mb of ram, I could play runescape and open 10+ AOL/IE tabs no problem. now on 4gb ram it all gets used up
youtu.be
Did you just watch this video?
Quad channel 12GB is all you'll ever need
why not 24gb ram? 2x4gb + 2x8gb
IE didn't have tabs in 2006 unless you where using the beta version
sorry I meant windows. I used IE 6 until chrome was released
32GB, currently idle
just barely enough when I am using it hence the swap
I used up all my slots, but I may need more :(
The G1840 was the first new CPU I bought when I was getting in to building PCs, amazing what that little thing can do for how cheap it is.
16GB. Keeping an eye out for 16GB of PC4 24000 for under $100 to double up for VMs and shit.
16 GB in my laptop, just the right amount with my usage patterns.
8 GB in my home server, which is barely enough. I'm thinking of maxing it out to 32 with some chink ebay RAM.
that the fuck do you do with 128 gb of ram ?
are you running a vm cluster ?
be
32 and I frequently sit at 23-24
Remember to take your medication buddy
Laptop has 16gb and new build has 32gb ddr4. I'd much rather have more ram than needed rather than having less ram and finding I need more of it.
16GB on desktop, 12GB on laptop. 8GB is not enough, 12 is just fine(not counting single channel).
Laptop has 64GB that I bought before it doubled in price.
Seems adequate.
1core clocked extreamly high and rest disabled and 8gigs of ram is all you will ever need any game that requires more is badly made (multithreading adds latency)
I fucking love gaming my friend
16GB here. Next machine is going to be 32GB or 64GB in a year or two.
>DDR2 FB-DIMMs
Dime a dozen
On this machine 32GB on my main machine 48GB, both DDR3 1600. It's not enough on this one, it's just enough on the main machine.
Hot as an oven, and slow as piss.
2GB. It's more than enough.
16 GB here
