XFS is the only file system worth using.

You seem to have mis-typed ZFS.

You seen to have mis typed Ntfs

Jow Forums, what about 1chan, 2chan, and 3chan? Did they even ever exist?

user, I...

>2ch
Dumb fucking retard, your newfaggotry is showing. Kys

>does 2chan exist
hoo boy

OTFS would be FAT I guess

2chan used to exist back in the new days of the internet in 1975

> T H I C K

Windows 7, Windows 8
But where is Windows 9?

>fat
who you calling FAT, boy

Did you even read OP? Of course EXT1 existed, it's just that it only lasted for about a year before being superseded by EXT2. This whole thread is naming things that really exist but the poster pretends does doesn't exist for fucks sake.

That's usb tho, not milli-usb.

deci-usb
octa-usb

I want exa-usb

>York
>New York
Why did noone rename York to Old York, hurrr duuurrrr (drool).

Y'all gotta get a load of f2fs. Why I took so long to show up? This file is on solid state storage and your fs is not optimized for that.

2chan is Russian двaч

Almost everyone using it is an idiot using it on an SSD, eMMC, SD card or other managed, wear-leveled flash memory device.

>iPhone X

That's because it's OS divided by 2. So it's OS 0.5.

They never got to OS/1.

We never had OS/4 then

Thats the joke newfag

C, C++. No sign of C+.

Hueheuhahahahnargaaaahahahaahyaaaa funny

>Python 2, Python3

You seem to have mistyped ReFS.

PC DOS was OS/1.

Excellent guess, Kreskin. Wrong, but excellent: HPFS would be OTFS.

Though a fuckload newer than FAT12 and 16.
OT: anyone ever seen a FAT8 file system? I heard they did exist.

OK, so where's Technology File System then? Huh? HUH?! HUH!!!!!

Thankyou, dickhead.

That's a funny way to spell BTRFS.

ZFS + EEC Ram + Backups = Enjoy having your data collection intact with out errors for years to come. You can still enjoy those ripped movies and all that porn without fear of nasty bit-rot infecting it and causing loads of time redoing it all. When all the torrents/direct links are dead you can just kick back and laugh and enjoy your collection

what about encryption?

>EEC Ram
Yuropoors fucking up the memory market, now?

While everyone else is settling to suffer via the compressed low res garbage version of some bit of rare porn on streaming sites you get to enjoy the full quality original version that you got on your server.

Wouldn't cloud storage be the safest? Now to find such a thing that isn't a datamining/botnet scam...

>cloud
>complete loss of user data
>constantly looked over (by) US departments
There is no "cloud" - there is only "other people's hard disks".

Attached: 1481852569939.jpg (500x479, 46K)

Talking theoretical.

To be frankly honest, any data that is not on your property is not yours. The cloud is basically a storage unit that you put data into and I'm sure you know what happens you you stop paying for a storage unit

I guess to answer the question yes your data would be very safe on a reputable cloud storage service, more safe than what a single person might be able to do

Agreed, the rotational velocidensity on my EXT4FS File system is absolutely out of control, most of my FLACs sound like MP2s or even MP1s HAHAHA XD

1chan is unironically cozy

are you retarded?

zfs wont save you from inevitable hard drive failure. Checksums cant correct even a single bad sector.

true, defnitely need raid

that's rude

that bait stings

npc is malfunctioning

raid 0

What about A, A++, B, B++?

because + itself is not valid syntactical sugar unlike ++

That's what terry called it before he changed to HolyC.

btrfs is a lost cause. They were beta-testing it as a buggy piece of shit for so long that too many people just stopped caring at some point. If they want them back, they'll have to do something big and they'll have to do it before HAMMER2 or bcachefs reach linux upstream.

what else matters that isn't already dealt with by every other modern fs?

you seem to have mistyped HFS

I loved it, but my SSD doesn't like continuous trim and start-up time constantly decreased with every boot and longer FSCK. I ended up using XFS instead.

exa-thicc

Is ECC RAM really needed for non-critical systems though?

You want it if you can get it, but if you can't, it's not anywhere near as big a deal as the ZFS crowd makes of it.

>micro-usb

Orthodox C is basically C+

Good bait

2x HP N40L, both EEC ram, one uses RaidZ2 the other RaidZ1. Same data on both. Both run Freenas. As extra insurance core data is also kept on a Zyzel nas with a Raid 5 array (shutdown) in backup images. Media server runs server 2012 r2 and uses refs. All is ran from a UPS. I think I'm good. The only way I can lose it is if my house burns. (slim remote chance of that happening; I'm more likely to have an auto accident than my house burning)
