I'd post you my motherboard but my laptop is glued shut.

eh, beats msi

This was mine. Had it for around 6-7 years.
Still going strong till today, never had any problems.
Switched to AMD though, so bye old friend.

>it's another "GPU cooks the NVMe drive" board

My M.2 NVMe is okay

It's okay, it has a heat shield. NVMe drives don't get hot, right? So it's fine. :)

asrock 980de3/u3s3.

Just had my Gigabyte 78LMT motherboard (probably) die on me last night, what should I get as a replacement? Preferably a full size ATX mobo.

>ga-g31m-s2l
based and redpilled except for the fact it doesn't support native sata operation mode.

God, gayman boards are fucking RETARDED

They throttle, when they get hot. The GPU heats them up, so they throttle more than they would if they just ran by themselves.

Just use the lower slot.

>2 out of 6 DIMM slots are dead
Because of that I can't use triple channel with my Xeon X5650, and one of my 4 sticks is running on single channel since if I place any sticks on a different slot to get 2 dual channels they won't even be recognized at all.
>North Bridge idles at 85ºC and maxes out at 95ºC on full load on a case with very good air flow
That's when overclocking, but at stock it's the same, maxing out at around 90ºC.
>can't lock cpu multiplier on an unlocked cpu
For that my maximum overclock is 3.8GHz on a CPU that easily reaches 4.2GHz and even gets to 4.5GHz without much struggle.

Not to mention there is no PCI 3, Sata 3 or USB 3. But I'm pretty happy and won't upgrade until something dies.

Attached: msi x58m.jpg (1024x819, 279K)

But with the heat shield, the GPU won't heat them up. That's the point of it, right user? (:

patiently waiting for the Gigabyte AM3+ UltraDurable dude to post his motherboard

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish you could afford something better but you will have to save your money I expect.

Hang on to it till you can afford some better stuff

I have Asrock H77 pro4/MVP
AFAIK It's old as shit

It's a fucking miracle I managed to install GTX 1080ti and EVGA G3 Supernova 850W without having to buy a new motherboard.

>Windows 7 ready!
Woah

*blocks your attempt to secure your motherboard because it hasn't received a single god damn BIOS update since release (not a single bios update to protect from Intel's 28+ hardware security vulnerabilities)*

How many NZXT cucks have severe buyer's remorse yet? Imagine spending 300 bucks on a shitty motherboard built by ECS and then not receiveing a single BIOS update. YOu can't even insert a 9th gen Intel CPU in this shit because no bios update and you are vulnerable to all spectre+meltdown+l1tf+spectre nextgen because NO BIOS UPDATE rofloflroflrlforlf

>he fell for the nvmeme meme

When the buffer runs out after 10GB, your transfer speeds will drop to SATA 6GBit/s-tier performance

but whatever floats your boat, schmuck

what's even the fucking point with your fucking post

that would be an argument, if the same size NVMe SSDs weren't cheaper or on par these days with SATA ones, but you still have the additional IOPS of NVMe protocol, even at SATA speeds

sure is pretty tho

What do you even mean? It's usually 1MB of DDR3/4 per 1GB of NAND. Even 2TB NVMe SSDs don't have 10GB of buffer.

Anything that cucks Intel and it's consumers is good in my book, based board.

Got this jan 2014, still works

I'm looking for a good Matx board that supports 9th gen cpu's, any good suggestions?

Its VRMs suck but it has been very good to me.

Attached: Z77 Pro3.png (1200x1000, 598K)

Based. I have been using pic related, but with some different colours. Still works perfectly with an i7-950.
I doubt I will upgrade anytime soon.

ITX boards are fucking based in this era where ram speed is so important.

>virgin mini ITX vs Chad ATX

>tfw p55-ud3r
>tfw had it almost 10 years
>tfw 2 years in took a lightning strike
>killed Ethernet port and most of the SATA ports

>tfw embarrassed to still be using it but can't afford anything else

same, I fell for the M1 + itx combo and this was the only itx board with ryzen support at the time

ohayou, mine is at least 6 or 7 years old now

Get another P55?

still good, waiting for next zen

Attached: z77e6.jpg (661x768, 287K)

>Z77 with IDE
Is there a board maker more based than ASrock? They even made an X99 ITX board because they fucking can.

>"Dude, we still have a lot of space remaining"
>"Let's put a fucking IDE connector on it!"
>"XDXD"
for fucking why

Back in 2012 when Ivy was coming out, hard drives were stupidly expensive, 1TB would run you like $200 dollars, so people often reused old hard drives they had, especially if they had a large IDE drive they had lying around.

Designare line is top-tier aesthetic.

Based Haswell, shit is still good today and it's really good if you have a 6 core 5930K, shit will beat a ryzen.

This is my motherboard. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My motherboard is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my motherboard is useless. Without my motherboard, I am useless.

>Black on black HEDT board
Based EVGA, thought that shit was an X99 because it wasn't all tacky and had an old look to it.

ive had this bad boy for 3 months. last one I had for 4 years and it was also a fatal1ty memeboard. For some reason I keep finding fatal1ty boards + cpu combos for real cheap. Not like I have any room to shop since ITX boards lack features.

I still have a 4770k but it runs everything great still

Used to be faithful to Gigabyte but this seemed to be _the_ B450 board to get.

Attached: product_9_20180716111703_5b4c0e2fc4a17.png (1024x820, 989K)

MSI seems to be dominating with ryzen, I remember back when if you were getting AM3+ it't was Asus or Gigabyte and that's all was worth it.

Tasty

First wave DDR4 boards were pretty aesthetic until they went full retard with the rgb.

>tfw p55a-ud3 is still pretty gud

Onboard SATA 3 is shit, but otherwise, it's the oldest modern board that I have, with USB3 and PCIe 2.0, while still retaining floppy, IDE, serial and parallel onboard controllers.

It also overclocks the shitty i5-750 to 4.0ghz with bclk overclocking.

Attached: oldrig.jpg (1837x1705, 887K)

Is it ebin?

This is my motherboard, the internet says it sucks ass

And this is the one I used to have before that

It's not that super high end asus boards are bad, they do make good hardware even if they overcharge for it.

It's just, at that price point, why didn't you just buy HEDT?

>660 psu with 63A 12v rail
>tfw 750 Corsair PSU only has 62A
Based Seasonic overbuilding shit, I like that drive bay in the top psu mount.

Attached: 2017-08-26-486.jpg (4000x2248, 1.64M)

Also got an Asrock 939DualSataII mobo. Still works. Paired with an Opteron-185/2GB Ram/and Geforce 6800GT

Had this 7 years, posting from it now, got a new B450 coming

>8.37ghz
Shame how MSI pretty much gave up on am3+ and replaced the GD80 with a 990FXA gaming that only has a 6 phase VRM.

I replaced it with a Gigabyte.

Masterrace reporting in. +i5

My old i5 3570k rig fucking died in the middle of the crypto boom, so I ended up having to get a prebuilt, and it came with this.

Since it has the same VRM setup as most of MSI's B450 boards, I just grabbed some adhesive heatspreaders off of newegg to pop on the VRM heatsink in prep for Zen 2. Should get the temps manageable for a small 3700x OC.
