You'd be surprised how much it has in common with Linux, but you'll also be surprised at how much simpler it is. Have you ever just run " --help" and gotten back a wall of hundreds of switches and options? That doesn't really happen as much with the BSDs and Solaris. That's the biggest difference I notice.

Macs are just PCs after all and macOS will "run" without modification on any PC, you won't get very far unless you figure out a way to emulate the SMC which isn't hard
